All I was trying to do is download it so I can easily cancel a subscription on Patreon and it wouldn’t even let me do that not to mention the fact that if you want to use this app long-term you have to pay for it which isn’t the whole point to cancel subscriptions and save your money I don’t know why even tried new the app was stupid from the ads

They can’t cancel most of the subscriptions. This is a waste of money.

Commercials advertise 2 click bill lowering, you need to upload the bill. A straight lie.

I will see if I would save or not or see if they give me my refund we will see.

I signed up for rocket+ to view and cancel subscriptions, but I can’t get AI to even show me my subscriptions.

Used the app a lot but ultimately decided to cancel my subscription. Tell me why I had to hit cancel almost TEN TIMES before it cancelled. I don’t need to see “you ok losing this? What about this? What about that”.

They can help you cancel any subscription except there’s. No way to cancel the rocket money subscription

This app is stupid and pointless why do you need another app to cancel subscriptions for when you can just go to the website it’s self and cancel it

I’m 38 and have never been great with my money. I’ve never set budgets or goals, just went from check to check. Within 15 mins of using Rocket Money it’s opened my eyes and showed me I’m spending thousands of dollars more each year than I’m earning with my income. This will help me right my spending and allow me to create savings. Game changer!

This app has helped me see how much I was spending month to month on subscriptions, coffee, Amazon.all the things that are easy to ignore in your monthly budget. Helps get rid of unwanted or un-needed subscriptions. I use Dave Ramsey’s budget and savings principles (even though I don’t appreciate his personal beliefs and behaviors) I have paid off 150,000 in debt and am now saving for a house.

I thought this was for getting rid of subscriptions, and it made me add a new one: Rocket Money. I thought it was supposed to make cancelling subscriptions easy, and the first thing it tells me is “cancelling this app may be harder than we thought.”

I did not sign up for a premium membership and they still took it after a month… they are also very confusing and make it really difficult to cancel. Do not get this, you are better off just doing your own budgeting. I regret giving this app my information.

Y’all are just as bad as the companies that you pretend to help people unsubscribe from! Y’all have been billing me 10 bucks every month without me even knowing and you don’t even show up in my Apple subscriptions you just directly take from my bank account!

Rocket money is literally supposed to help you save money but somehow my experience has done the complete opposite. Instead of helping me track my finances. They have been taking money out of my account through ACH. Well, I can’t even login to my account to manage or cancel it. Kind of ironic how an app that’s supposed to help you save money, ends up costing you more. I would give this company 0 stars. Absolutely awful. What a joke. Do not get this app. Terrible terrible terrible company and app.

I downloaded Rocket Money to keep track of expenses, which is about the only thing i can use it for. It was supposed to tell me I had a charge coming out, im cutting it close this time and was really dependent on the app telling me when a charge came out. Rocket money didnt do the one thing its supposed to do, and now i have 15 dollars to stretch, which is impossible, thank you so much for not doing your one thing youre supposed to do

This app does not link to my retirement plan. I have tried linking my retirement plan to this app many times and it never works. It is a government retirement plan with millions of participants so the developers should prioritize finding a way to link TSP to the app. Other apps do it better.

I am thinking that I don’t trust this app I had to give my social security number, banking account number, I’m very uncomfortable with this Plus it isn’t working as advertised!

Works but not always easy

I have an account, wanted to open, and it keeps looping me back as if I don’t have an account. I will have to cancel this account. Sad to let it go, but it is not worth the hassle and it has been a month.

I had no idea you had to pay Rocket Money a percentage of what you saved I thought with the subscription monthly that was all you paid

I liked it while it worked. But one day it asked me to relink every account, and since then, there’s a bunch of junk data and duplication. There is only one account each, so the duplication is unfixable by the user. Support says they’ll get back to you in a few hours, but they just never respond. I’ll have to switch to something else if they don’t fix this. Otherwise, it’s useless as a budgeting app.

Customers have been begging for the ability to budget for future months, and it’s ignored. Same with rollover budgeting. They prioritize dumb updates instead of feedback with 3,000+ updates.

Just started app and it has saved me some money most apps you have to manually input your spending but rocket does all the work for you and tracks all your spending habits. It found many duplicate apps that I didn’t know I had open and asked me to review them to let them know what ones to remove. Great app/tool to help

I used this app for first time to see my subscriptions. Now my capital one is telling my information been breaded and I had too freeze my credit for 3 big credit companies. Every time I check my credit my ssn has been used to apply for loan.(multiple occasions in different states)

I came back to rocket money cuz i remembered the savings section where I could put x amount of money away per paycheck. But now i have to have a subscription to do that when back in 2020 it was free. I hate how every company thinks they need a subscription based program when it is not required.

This apps is awful!!! I haven’t been able to get into my app for months! I have had to jump through hoops and still haven’t gotten any help. There isn’t anyway to talk to a person. Email support never gets a real answer. Just a message someone will get back with you. NOPE! I wouldn’t recommend this app. So much more I could say. I just want my money back from the savings account I started through this app!

I’m 18 years old and a female so insurance on a sports car can be A LOT but thanks to rocket money I can budget better and pay my bills the way I need too! I highly recommend downloading this app it doesn’t disappoint!

Works nothing like the commercials

They have been way too many disconnects, inability to connect with certain institutions, duplicate transactions randomly. and while Customer Service is very responsive and attempts to be very helpful, they really can’t do anything but try to fix the problems after they occur. I need customer service to prevent the problems from occurring to begin with. Much more of this and I’m dropping this app and going to.

I got this app to help reduce reoccurring charges. Ironically, Rocket Money was charging me $12/month and I didn’t know it.

When I first open Rocket Money, I referred it to everyone that I could. On July 3 of this year I had to close my checking account due to fraudulent activity. I opened a new checking account and connected it to my rocket account. However, it has not worked. I am I am unable to use my rocket account or my savings account that I added to Rocket Money. No one is helping me. Great with Rocket Money until I ran into an issue. Now I can’t even get anyone to contact me back and tell me how they’re going to send me my savings account money. The last thing they told me was their third-party banking was not able to connect my My New account from Chase. I don’t understand the issue. At this time, no one is contacting me back. It’s great unless you have a problem.

I don’t have a bank account bc I’m just a young gal and it’s too hard. But I do have a Cash App and it’s hard to save money and learn healthy money habits so I thought this would be helpful because everyone talks about it. My job sees my Cash App as a bank but a mobile app doesn’t. Idk I just feel left out. Hashtag sad face emoji

Just wanna say, I NEVER write reviews. Every time I read reviews I think it’s the company that paid for someone to write it and whatnot but this app is legit. Very highly recommended. I’ve always been HORRIBLE at budgeting or just watching what gets pulled out of my account and this app helps enormously. Check it out!!

I had this app forever ago. It was pretty good. I decided to redownload it and it’s much different. The advertised features are only included if you pay a membership fee. It’s great you get to choose how much you want to pay though. Alternatively the aforementioned feature, the subscription cancelation feature. Only works on specific subscriptions which = working on none of mine. BUT the worst of it all is the connection to your bank. Dear lord is it terrible. It has only connected to it successfully once even though I go through the process of reconnecting. The scariest thing is I’ll randomly get messages from my bank, BECU with codes saying not to share them with anyone. I assume it is Rocket Money trying to connect, but basically without my imitation or permission. It is terrifying having a message like that at 12:47am. Cool I get to set budgets but BECU has that as a feature. Them finding my reoccurring subscriptions was great! Didn’t need to pay for that but canceling them I had to do on my own, only finding that out after I bought the subscription. It’s mediocre at best in comparison to a banking app like BECU. If you have BECU, skip this app and save yourself the headache.

I’ve been looking for a good budget app ever since Intuit’s Mint turned into a sales-first platform. This is exactly what you need a for a household. Net income, spending breakdown, net worth. Easy to link accounts with plaid, and connections stay valid longer without reconnecting that mint did. Big fan of this platform

Plaid and rocket money violate client privacy by not disconnecting locking down all data during a recent security breach. Rocket money and rocket mortgage violated federal laws for rocket mortgage clients who have the premium money account. RM did not suspend PLAID information connected to the accounts. Therefore any hacker could see the same information as the client (name, email, phone, address, bank, account last four digits, total accounts, transactions, etc). This is the same information breached with financial institutions. After Rocket money went back online, the system required reconnection to the financial accounts. Because of this breach, we are hit with duplicate credit card transaction for the 2025 year. This requires hours or even days of manually one by one ignoring the transactions. The duplicates are automatically assigned to rocket mortgage pre-selected categories. Rocket money and Plaid should provide a patch removing all duplicate transactions for their clients.

It’s so easy to save and painless. Can’t beat it.

Just like the title says, rocket money did a great job of helping me save without me even knowing. Unfortunately, my husbands bank account showed there was fraud (not due to rm i don’t think) and so we had to cancel the account linked to the savings. I understand this could make depositing the cash into a new account harder and require more verification, that’s not the issue. The issue is you literally CANT call a customer service line and can barely connect with a representative on the chat part of the app. Idk if they only have 2 employees that don’t work everyday but it has taken SO LONG to get through a few simple steps, like in waiting days to be able to connect with someone it’s so annoying and not to mention it’s MY MONEY. I still do not have access to it after submitting what they asked for days ago.

Very easy to use and not a scam app love this!

I primarily signed up for this app to set savings goals for little Knick Knacks I wanted to buy for myself. App makes it super easy to create a savings goal and deposit money but makes it very challenging to withdraw. When it came time to withdraw, the app kept saying that I was exceeding what was in the account even though I was withdrawing amounts far below what was in the account. Incredibly disappointed with this service and still waiting to get my money back. Don’t make it easy to deposit and difficult to withdraw. You are playing with peoples’ hard earning money, especially after charging a subscription for what is essentially a glorified excel sheet and power bi dashboard. Incredibly disappointed with this all

The app talks about al the features it can do for you but literally has you do 70 percent of the work to cancel apps. Then it pulls info from your bank and half the time it’s incorrect. Set up a savings goal and it doesn’t consistently take the money out. So you think your following a savings plan go back to check in a couple weeks and the money hasn’t moved. The app is half assed and to pay 10 dollars a month for service that doesn’t live up to the expectation or price tag for a phone app. Useless garbage better off putting ten dollars in a shoe box

Can’t even get past the log in. Freezes whenever it goes to connect my account.

I joined this to get help canceling a fitness subscription & a beauty subscription. Rocket money says they can’t do this, that I have to contact them myself. There is no benefit to me by being a member.

Do not trust. Signed up for the free trial that says $0.00. Next moment later I got a notification they charged me $39.00 for the full year. Don’t trust refund please

Help there’s no way to sign into my account because they have old phone number

I opened a goal account with them via the app. They were able to deduct money from my checking account with no issue. But when I tried to withdraw my money, the app came back with "error". The customer service team is very unresponsive and keep finding a reason to not send the money. They asked me for a bank statement, and when I shared it as is, they claimed that it is incomplete

It’s great for budgeting. But the notifications are late. I give the app access to my finances and alerts notifications are delayed by 2-3 days.

Ok budgeting app but their biggest gimmick is that they can help find and cancel subscriptions you are paying and don’t need…. I cancelled my Rocket subscription in April, it’s now August and I’m still getting charged even after contacting customer support. So ironically, the app that helps you cancel subscriptions. You don’t need is the exact subscription I need canceled. I want my money back.

i downloaded rocket money at my lowest - hoping for guidance on my finances and assistance on how to move forward. with upgrading the subscription i was told i would get notified when the free trial ended, so i could choose whether or not to continue. i was not notified and rocket money did not show me anything beyond what i already new. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME, my last $15 went to the subscription i was told i could choose to continue. do the math yourself and save the money.

This can’t cancel this subscriptions that I really want to cancel and I have to manually type them in and then I’m told that I have to email them to cancel

On my phone you have a text saying I have a double payment to Walmart but I can’t find any transactions involving them. It also posts a note saying it can get my Allstate car insurance lowered, but I don’t have this insurance anymore and I can’t find any payments to them. Are these errors or just hypothetical marketing promotions?

One of the largest banks, and I can’t get it to log in on my IPhone or Android devices. The app is useless if you can’t log in. Every subsequent step is locked behind account access, and there’s no ‘help me I can’t seem to log in’ option to continue

I thought this would let me set a start date so I could track my spending and bills per pay period but it does not. So only month to month and no real way to track per paycheck

Had over 400 dollars in a savings that o couldn’t take out so I deleted the saving account because it said it would send the money back and the account got deleted but they kept the 400 dollars.

What is the point in an app to save you money if they are going to charge you $12 a month when YOU DONT EVEN HAVE THE APP ANYMORE!!!!! This is the worst app on the App Store. Do not get. Not canceling when promised

App lags and won’t update even after uninstalling reinstalling logging out logging in. I pay a subscription and it hasn’t been helpful at all.

Been on it for 3 minutes and already seeing that the information Rocket Money is giving me is inaccurate. It’s categorizing one-time payments as recurring subscriptions, which grossly inflates my “expenses.” So far, unimpressed.

They make it really annoying to cancel with a bunch of deceptive screens. Also didn’t do anything for me expect tell me to cancel subscriptions I use everyday.

Rocket Money is a less efficient version of just remembering your passwords so you can cancel your subscriptions. Utterly pointless.

Makes keeping track of my expenses so much easier!

Just signed up last night. So far, aside from popups wanting money to use the app, I’m not seeing a benefit. I’ll update in the coming week.

I used rocket money for over 2 years as a premium subscriber. At first it worked great. It had everything I could ask for. RM was my one stop shop for all our finances. I am deleting the app now because it has become plagued with bugs. The first issue is sometimes the Rules you create don’t always get applied to transactions. This is annoying but easy to fix. The main issue I quit is because sometimes you have to relink your accounts and when you do there is a bug that will duplicate all the transactions. I have thousands of duplicate transactions from years of using rocket money that now ruins all the data. The only way to fix is to unlink and relink the account. But by doing that you will undo all your manual edits to transactions so you will essentially lose all your work and data or have to redo it. I’m not a fan of having to spend hours and hours reworking and coding my transactions. Don’t waste your time and money like I did with this app.

I found rocket money to be confusing. I do my expense calculation in Excel, and feel comfortable with that rather than keeping track in rocket money.

Rocket Money has been so helpful for us and has completely changed our financial stability. I really enjoy how easy it is to use.

I love the Rocket Money app and the Smart Savings feature is the best. All the money I need to save for vacations gets put aside for me and it adds up much faster than if I were trying to save it on my own.

I’ve been using this app for 5 years and the glitches basically render it unusable. You will spend your precious time categorizing every single transaction and linking your accounts all for it to not be saved where you have to do it all over again. There are many times where it will double count transactions where it’s impossible to go back and delete all of them, so the entire purpose of using the app is useless. PLEASE do not use this app. It is a big waste of time and you will regret it.

I should be able to easily find a transaction in a category going back a few months ago but you only display the current month and there is no obvious way to go back and look at it. My dashboard is loaded with things that I don’t care about at all and again there is no way to put the different categories of spending on the dash.

For years I had no issues with the negotiations. They ethically did a decent job, but this last time they waited till my bill went up to then say they saved me $434 for 12 months so I owe them $151.95. Not only did they make my bill $10 more per month than what I was paying before but they said they did it for a year which that has never happened before. I had to call and get my bill fixed back to the amount I normally would pay and I was able to get that rate for 5 years so they actually did nothing so save me money and I did it myself after their screw up. I contacted the company multiple times that I do not authorize this transaction and can never get an actual person to respond and they charged me anyways. I will NEVER USE ROCKET MONEY AGAIN AND HIGHLY STOP RECOMMENDING THEM!!!! Poor customer service to treat a long time member who trusted them.

Useless app. For years I have considered getting this app. Little did I know that you sign on and it asks you to pay for a subscription. I payed $10 for a few months. Then when I quit it said it would give me the same service for $3 a month. But I wasn’t using the service anyways. Turns out you can still basically get the app for free. You don’t need to pay Also all the glamour it’s supposed to help you? If you are actually on top of looking at your bank statements you will know something before this app ever notifies you about it. For example I knew I had an overdraft fee. I called the bank that day to get it resolved. Rocket money sent me a notification 3 days later. You don’t really need this app and I regret ever spending money on it

Love this app. Not only does it show my recurring bills and expenses, but shows payday and how much is safe to spend and I’m able to edit details of my bills and mark off paid bills if paid early. Definitely made it helpful for my husband and his hobbies as I was able to add him to the account see he can see everything too

We’re bombarded with ads from these guys claiming they keep track of subscriptions… and right away I noticed several that were missing from this list. For whatever reason it does a very poor job of listing annual subscriptions. So my PlayStation Plus, Amazon Prime, and Apple TV annual subscriptions were all not listed

I NEVER EVER signed up for the premium membership. I used the App once and never touched anything agreeing to payment to subscribe to a “premium membership”. It was a bit of a shock when I saw they’ve been charging my bank?! I notified their team and no one has gotten back with me. What a scam of a company. Be careful! They will charge you without your consent!!!

Rocket money helps put your finances into perspective. It lets you know how much you can spend from your paycheck based off what bills are due. You don’t have to write all your bills out and do math. Rocket money simply tells you

On the add it makes it sound like it’s free to just download the app and look!

This site is no better than all of the people that they tell you they will negotiate and get your bill down. But they don’t tell you is that you have to give 65% of what you saved to them so if they save $700 on a bill you owe 65% of that to them for negotiating it when you could’ve done it yourself. I definitely do not recommend this site to anyone. There has to be a better way.

I have tried all the other apps and nothing works as great as this does. I can see where all my money is at all time, the budget is easy to set up, and you know exactly where your money is going. It’s very user friendly, and budget categories are customizable.

Well, I’m enjoying it. I should’ve done this a long time ago. It’s my only regret but like they say it’s never too late and they also say it’s not the way you start, but it’s the way you finish and I want to finish well with the help of you guys thank you again

I have tried to close this and it won’t let me do it!

Multiple times it has flagged my account that I’m getting deposits when in fact, they are withdrawals

It only finds the subscriptions that you can already find in the “subscriptions” tab in your AppleID. Doesn’t actually find the other recurring charges in your bank account of the other apps or subscriptions that don’t show up under your AppleID that you actually need it to find. Might be good as an expense manager, but they advertise it as being able to find those ‘secret’ subscriptions but it doesn’t.

I canceled my subscription last month but I’m still being charged

All the ads say “free” “free” “free” but it’s not. It’s not expensive but in no way is it free. The cancellation of subscriptions is nice to have but almost every other service is premium or premium+ which is fine but don’t have the constant advertising say otherwise. Overall a good service for those who struggle with their finances and financial goals, but not necessary for those who know these things already.

Had them negotiate my phone bill and they said they saved me $300 and then started taking 30% of “what they saved me”. And right after my phone company upped my charges so they’re not saving me anywhere close to $300 but are still taking money from my bank through auto withdrawals! Emailed them multiply times and they won’t stop taking my money! Don’t trust them with your banking info!!

Rocket Money is excellent, and great for the iPhone but would love to see it app for us on iPad and Laptop, for easier use

I’ve been having a hard time trying to cancel services

This app stinks because I get charged for it every month but o can’t even sign in to use it. It wants to send me an link to sign in to a phone number I don’t have anymore and I can’t get in the app to change it because I can’t receive the link to open the app. And there’s no way to get up with the admin or company to get my number changed so I guess I’ll just have to change my bank account info to cancel the app, I don’t know what else to do. The only reason i gave it one star is because it doesn’t go any lower.

Great for tracking spending but this app can’t tell the difference between principal reductions investments and regular spending. Also net worth calculations are not counting the mortgage.

Kept billing me after I canceled and couldn’t cancel because my account was deleted.

I don't know what happened but the app is much less useful than when I first started. It used to separate out my credit card payments from my other expenses. It just seems dumber as an app.

Trying to cancel cant find how to do that. Not that helpful for me.

I noticed that my goals were lower than they should be so I did my own math based on the deposits I’ve made and found that a significant amount of money has been removed without my knowledge or consent. No longer using this app.

My child introduced me to Rocket Mortgage. It is valuable in managing paperless bills and reminders. 5 *!

They promote everywhere how easy this app makes it to cancel subscription well I got it after jumping through hoops for 5 minutes to get to the main page I was told it may be harder than expected to cancel my subscriptions and we could do it later so this app is basically pointless!

I wanna stop my Shopify subscription, but you won’t help me. There’s no option to stop the Shopify account. I don’t know why I’m paying you if you’re not able to do everything I’m paying you to do. I’m very disappointed. I was really looking forward to you guys being everything, everyone said about you.

It does not see all subscriptions. It didn’t pull up the streaming services except one for prime. I do not see us keeping this app going.

They did the typical auto sign you up to ty premium and hide it well enough for me to not notice. I didn't notice until the second moth when the subscription charge failed because it was going to over draft. Okay first of all I don't even get that through my bank naturally, and second of all... There is nothing is app does that your offically bank app cannot do. My suggestion would be just got to a reputable bank for an account not this. So on top of that it is funny that they sell this scam app as something that tells you about subscriptions... Oh all but their own huh? And on top of even that it has a horrible auto detect algorithm for detecting, whether something is a subscription or not. For example it says basic repeated charges are subscriptions period like that is not accurate. Thanks for stealing my money, instantly deleted my account and posted this review for all to know how pointless this service is.

This app has really helped me with additional savings. I’m able to write goals for things that and goals that I need to achieve financial and this app really really helps me with those goals. It’s very easy to use.

I downloaded the app. Of course you have to subscribe monthly. My main reason for the app was to have them find and get rid of unwanted subscriptions. So I had to subscribe to a service to get rid of subscriptions only to learn that in most cases they cannot provide this service. They can’t cancel most of what I had, they can only charge you a monthly fee for information that is easily found for free on the internet as to how to cancel them on your own. Some of the other features may be of benefit, not sure I’ll stick around to find out.

I thought this was a “free” app to help me get rid of unwanted subscriptions to help me save money, it does in fact charge you tons of money, and ask you tons of questions to get the subscriptions gone, thanks for nothing!

I don’t often review apps unless I feel strongly either way this is a zero star app. They don’t actually cancel your subscriptions. I’ve been charged multiple times by multiple vendors after Rocket has confirmed. Read through the terms and conditions carefully they are not here to help.

Not helpful at all, frustrating to the extreme

This app stole almost 45$ from my bank account, stating the charges as “rocket money fees” don’t let this app get ahold of all your personal information and it is a scam.

When you end your subscription your bank accounts are still linked and Rocket Money still emails you notices about your spending etc. Then even if you log into your account, you can’t unlink your bank accounts without restoring your subscription. I find this unethical. And I ended my subscription so I don’t want the service anymore, why are you still emailing me? I will not use Rocket money again. On top of that the advertising is old and tired, stop asking your across the same questions and getting the same responses and solving the problem the same way.

Rocket Money noted that I had two charges from Walmart that I did not make. When I tapped to alert that I didn’t make the charge , the App did nothing. It seemed frozen and wouldn’t take the charge off. It did nothing.

Listed subscriptions repeatedly and subscriptions I just didn’t have to have a “higher” amount I didn’t know I was paying for, it insisted I was paying 100s but I was actually paying less than $30

I downloaded it to manage my subscriptions and I didn’t understand it so I deleted it and canceled it some how I’m still being charged for it and it just took money out of my account how do I get it back ??

This app makes tracking spending and investments super simple

I shouldn’t have to pay to use features advertised as free. Not once does any Rocket Money ad show that you are required to have premium to view and cancel subscriptions. It’s described as “easy as downloading the app.” As someone struggling financially, I was excited for a free app that easily outlines my spending across my multiple accounts. I am extremely disappointed and will not be returning or recommending the app to friends or family. Rocket Money ads should disclose that the subscription cancellation feature, which is the BIGGEST SELLER for most, is NOT free.

Does nothing a normal banking app can’t do. I never put in my credit card info and I only linked my bank account because it’s necessary for the app to work but they used that connection to pull 14 dollars directly from my bank account and when I went to cancel the “subscription” which I never agreed to they lowered the price to 3 dollars which seems predatory and none of the features are useful. If they even have any unique features big banks are just gonna copy them and put them out of business soon enough.

Trying to connect my Bilt credit card to Rocket Money and when I was trying to do that, I was logging into my profile, but it doesn’t log me in. It kicks me out to re-login on my Bilt profile.

It did not find all my subscriptions as promised. I have more than what was listed. And they DON’T make it easy to cancel. You still have to know your login information, so if you’ve forgotten that and thought Rocket Money can help… they can’t! Would NOT recommend this to anyone. Just look at your bank statements and find your subscriptions that way.

I’m sticking it out for now, but have requested help in cancelling a couple of recurring payments and have gotten NO help.

They advertise a free app, but they charge you $15 a month to use the app that is false advertising. It be sued for it.

I do like the way I can see my spending habits here. That is very helpful. As for canceling subscriptions, I have already canceled two that this app could not. But at least the app showed me which ones to get rid of.

I was trying to cancel 5 subscriptions and each of them told me I couldn’t cancel them in the rocket money app. Netflix DoorDash Hulu Crunchyroll And Disney. Couldn’t cancel a single one. It’s the most useless app . Don’t know when it says it can do something and proceeds to fail at what it’s suppose to do.

Keeps saying bank is having temporary issues and will be fixed but hasn’t been fixed in months.

The charges that I want to assign at reoccurring are not being assigned. The dates ive assigned the charges change without me doing anything. Whole thing makes managing your bills more confusing sometimes.

Funny how it says there are subscriptions that you can cancel yet the one that I want gone is the app’s “premium subscription”, it suddenly downloaded it onto my phone and taking more money from me rather than helping me save.

I got this app to track my spending and cancel subscriptions but the process for canceling subscriptions is very hard and they just seem to want to sell me other credit cards and more debt!

This has not really helped me find any forgotten subscriptions. I was hoping that it would. It does show you your basic balances and bills that are due other than that it wasn’t very helpful with the subscription part.

I have been using Rocket Money Premium for about two years. I love how you can make rules to categorize your expenses. You can easily import all your financial accounts and see all your finances in one place.

The App does not let you use it unless you connect a checking account, I connected Apple Pay and credit but it would not let you bypass to use the apps features. Huge let down!

In the beginning when this ap was new you could lower bills and cancel subscriptions fairly easily. That has changed. This ap no longer does a good job reducing bills or canceling subscriptions.

I would like Rocket Money to cancel all subscriptions as was advertised, but sometimes it returns with “we can’t cancel this or that” that’s frustrating and would like to be worth my investment to help cancel all subscriptions I mention I no longer need. Thanks

Fantastic App! My only issue is with the goal settings. As convenient and helpful it may seem, I myself am not personally comfortable with letting RocketMoney move my money into an account. Seems pretty overreaching to my in my opinion.

Rocket money is useless for anyone with a modicum of finicial literacy. On top of that, they WILL take your money even if you cancel premium. I cancelled a week before an annual auto renewal and they still took the money. That withdrawal put my bank account in the negative just long enough to get an overdraft fee, costing me even more money. Would give zero if I could.

Decent budgeting app until you decide you don’t need it. I had it for a while then decided I’m actually pretty good at budgeting so I decided to opt out. But the way they have you pay for the premium service is so sketchy, they directly link in to your bank account. So no matter what you do you can’t remove it. I’ve even tried going through the app, they told me that I successfully removed the subscription, but here we are 2 months later without a rocket money account realizing I’m still being charged! (Funny how they became the hidden subscription😂) The only way to end this is to switch banks or accounts. Good luck

Not as straight forward as they make it seem but is fairly easy to use

I have been giving Rocket Money a try and so far I’m not that impressed. It constantly uses contact with my bank so half of my accounts don’t show up. It won’t link with some of my credit card data. And it has missed a bunch of my subscriptions so I have to track them all down and cancel them myself. And this was the main reason. I tried it! I wanted to see where I may have had subscriptions or memberships I had forgotten about. It’s not worth the money I’m paying for it at this point.

In theory this app is absolutely amazing and they genuinely want to help people, but I can’t be helped because I have a slightly less common bank chain and some of my credit cards are not supported by the app so I can’t link them to my spending. It’s so incredibly frustrating.

So basically it lists all subscriptions you’ve had over the past year including all the inactive ones as active to make your budget look out of control so you’ll think you need them. I had no active subscriptions that I didn’t know about but this app made my husband think I did and then I had to go and show him that they were all ones we had cancelled on the past. The budgeting function is so inaccurate as well. By the time you do everything you need to do to make it accurate, it would have been way easier just to make a spreadsheet. But yeah, all those added where Rocket Money people make people download the app and says they’ll buy them a free lunch if they know how many subscriptions they have—that’s just a scam because it lists all past subscriptions as active subscriptions. So those adds are false advertising. I guess if you have a super low iq you could be tricked into paying for another subscription with this app, and think it’s actually helping you.

Hello, I submitted a refund request a few days ago, but I wanted to follow up again to get an update on the status of my request. I’ve never used the app, and I don’t even remember purchasing the premium version. $48 is an outrageous price for an app—you charged me that amount out of the blue, and whether you mean to or not, you’ve put me in a difficult situation. It’s Monday today, and there’s been no any change in my refund request. Please process my refund today—I’m broke and have no money left; you’ve already taken my last bit of money. Just imagine how I feel—an expense tracking app taking my last bit of money. I didn’t ask for anything that doesn’t exist; whatever was taken from me—and for whatever reason—I want it returned with the same dedication and speed.

If I knew it would take up to 10 days to cancel a subscription I would just do it manually myself.

Previously you could see all open lines of credit in a simplified view. I’ve been searching for hours and still can’t find it. Over all it seems the app is pushing more widgets and less simplifies views of finances that used to help keep me organized.

They make it impossible to cancel something and put no effort in to helping in that.

Personally, I find it hard to navigate. My income is wrong, and my net worth is not negative. I would love to reset and start over but I don’t see this option.

When I try to connect to a checking account it loops and says you have to connect to a checking account. I’ve connected mine like a thousand times for it to tell me it’s not a checking account. Can’t even use PayPal either because that’s ‘Peer to Peer’. Deleted my account and the app.

Don’t use their negotiation feature, my bill went UP $10 after rocket money messed around with my account. They and then demanded $160 for their services.

The advertisement made it look like it was so easy to cancel your subscriptions. Yeah, you can probably look at. Yeah you could tell me how to. Get rid of them, but not really reality. You don’t really do it. Nowhere near the way it’s advertised. I’m pretty disappointed in that one factor I believe false advertising is in effect, but you can kind of say that it’s a true advertisement just saying

This app is a scam. I downloaded this to manage and delete my subscriptions and it didn’t work. It only showed me about a 1/4 of my actual subscriptions and I couldn’t successfully delete any of them; I just kept getting error messages. Don’t believe the hype.

Not bad at all and not super expensive. Only issue is transactions get duplicated so now you don’t truly know how much you spent or made.

It’s not as easy as advertised. I’ve tried dozens of times my subscriptions don’t pop up. It has difficulty linking accounts and basically it has not done anything. It was promised to do.

Because you give them access to your bank account they automatically sign you up for their Premium subscription and without you knowing or sending you invoices they charge you $12 per month. Be careful!!!

I had called the helpline and no one could fix this glaring issue. Pretty much everyone either rents or is actively paying a mortgage. That I have to save for NEXT month’s rent, have a window when it is due of 3 days (1-3 of every month), while also have to pay the current month? The people on the phone couldn’t help me use the app to account for this necessary and BASIC expense. When the average renter spends 50% of monthly income on renting ALONE, its a glaring issue that there isn’t a simple way to plan for this, and make tweaks considering that many people have a window to pay rent and many even pay in the middle of the month. Garbage app.

When I searched for an app to track subscriptions for free Rocket Money came up. They don’t tell you until you put in all your information and cards and bank information that it costs you money.

The App does what it advertises, except it makes it sound like it can cancel any subscriptions. Yet a ton of my subscriptions don’t offer that choice, im having to still go and handle it manually. Just makes it easier to figure out where to start.

I gave them all my information, linked my accounts, and nothing.

I had negotiate a bill active. When I called my cable company to get faster speed and a better deal rocket money called three days later and negotiated slower speed, cancelled my work order and then took credit for the lower bill. No I called and did the work then you charge me. Be careful they will take your money and it’s impossible to call someone

I really don’t know how to use this app at all mixed with the auto charging for the budgeting which I don’t like because I don’t want it to auto charge me. I just wanted to help me allocate and visualize where my money needs to go. The other issue is that it’s counting things that aren’t reoccurring bills as reoccurring bills and it’s also naming them in properly. My Rocket Money is a big mess and I don’t know how to fix it.

Rocket money’s “goals” function is exactly what i needed. it takes anywhere between $5-$20 out of my account little by little. (you can set it to whatever settings you want) i have been able to start chipping away at my debt sooooo much faster than i could’ve without this feature. :) greattt for saving without even noticing.

Too difficult to use

I’ve needed help with support to figure out my banking. I had to cancel the bank account I used to make my smart savings because I was having money taken out that I didn’t do. I’ve messaged them and emailed and have yet to hear back. Leaving this review is another way of me trying to get their attention. The app has been helpful otherwise and I even was paying for the premium for awhile but after this I am considering trying to find another app. I don’t like that you gave to message ai then wait for a team member. It says they usually respond within a few hours but it’s going on two days now

I keep hearing about this app so I decided to give it a try and so far after having it for almost a week I’d definitely give it a 10 out of 10 it has helped me keep track of my finances, especially with the widgets that you can add on your home screen with upcoming Bills and letting you know how much money you have in the bank how much you have left over after bills are paid again. I’d give it a 10 out of 10 after having this app for a week with a subscription of seven dollars a month. Definitely satisfied with the app definitely would recommend to families and friends if they’re serious about their finances.

You can see things, but a lot of stuff gets duplicated so it all reports back funny. You also can’t just unenroll from a lot of the subscriptions. You just get redirected back to the website

I absolutely love Rocket Money! It does everything to allow me to see and manage my finances. I can see all my expenses in one place. It is intuitive and tells me stuff I wouldn’t think to ask. For example, I just saw that my Amazon account will renew in 4 months at $150 instead of $130! I didn’t know about the increase but now I’m aware and have time to prepare or cancel! You cannot go wrong with this fabulous product! Love it!

I set a budget and I am not exceeding it, but the app tells me I am. The app tells me I am close to exceeding my food budget for the month, but not until 5 days after the end of the month. What good is that? If it told me 15 days into the month might have time to adjust but telling me after the end of the month seems pointless.

The app automatically signed me up for the premium version. I never agreed to it, yet it took my money. This app did not give me and warning whatsoever about it signing me up for premium

Wasn’t too sure about this when I first started using this app but once you take advantage of all the services they provide it really pays for itself and some.

Sadly after Mint (free) closed down I had to find another online budgeting app. This was the next closest thing I could find but in order to have multiple budget items you have to pay the equivalent of $4 a month. Rocket advertises that they can cut down your subscriptions but you have to pay even more for that. Most of the others things are fine. Unfortunately, it’s unable to track if there was surplus or deficit in budget categories beyond the current month like Mint was able to.

Used to be a great app until they got too popular. Never had to pay to keep track of your own money. Crazy

I was charged $.76 and because of Rocket Money, I caught the charge right away and was able to freeze my account, dispute the charge, and get a new card. In the past, I would review my credit card statements monthly for potential fraud charges. Rocket Money helped me catch the scam before I received an even larger charge. So grateful. Now I’m writing this review with the time I would have spent dealing with fraud.

I’m new to learning how to budget I wasn’t classically trained . It gave me a lot of tools to figure out where I’m spending and overspending. Thank you, Rocket Money.

This app WILL CHARGE YOU MONEY. Even if you use the free version it will trick you into buying a subscription. I went three months without knowing I was paying for this app. I deleted this app and it kept appearing back on my phone.

The information provided seems pretty good, but I do not see a way to cancel my free trial. Kind of ironic since they specialize in canceling subscriptions.

It’s clearly a scam. You can check how much you spend in your own banking app. Don’t let this app scam you. It claims to help you with your budgeting but you literally have to spend money to use it. Waste of money and time.

Doesn’t display spending or income right especially if funds go in and out of savings. Doesn’t categorize expenses right either. Didn’t catch any subscriptions. Basically useless app.

Always thought “there’s no way I have subscriptions I don’t know about”. I was wrong. 2 subscriptions to ABC Mouse, 2 subscriptions to Yousician, and 2 subscriptions to Gaia. I knew I had 1 subscription for the first and last, but I’ve paid for 2 subscriptions for Yousician for over 2 years and never realized it until now!!!

Overall the best budgeting app ive used so far. The only complaint is transactions dont post immediately when a charge has been made and may take a few hours till it reflects in the app. Also it needs to be able to connect to my robinhood credit card and banking accounts not just my brokerage. Will give 5 stars when they add this.

I just needed help getting off my old Amazon subscription, unfortunately, rocket money does NOT work. Big L. It sees the subscription, they just can’t/don’t know how.

Rocket money is my favorite finance app I have on my phone. It has been super useful for helping me keep track of all my income, expenses, and helping me plan and save for the future. I recommend it to everyone I talk to regarding finances.

Enter my password and it doesn’t work. Get a code. Enter code. Reset password. Still won’t work. Ran in this circles at least 8 times. Waste of time.

Thank you RM for opening my eyes to where my $$ was going. Technology is changing so quickly and sometimes you don’t even understand what you are paying for. RM really helps you get to the bottom of it quickly.

Doesn’t even carry Cash App but has Venmo. Stupid waste of time.

Sometimes I forget about some of the subscriptions and due dates that I’ve voluntarily agreed to make payments on and for. Rocket Money lets Me see upcoming charges almost a Week before withdrawals are coming out and more importantly, I can see them before they show pending in My accounts.

The account I have won’t link even when contact my bank.

I used to use Mint and I loved it. Rocket is good but you have to pay for it and it’s much slower. When I’m trying to update transactions each month, when it takes several seconds longer on every transaction to update the category and then to save it, that means it’s taking me much longer to do my expenses (especially across multiple cards) every month.

doesnt support alot of debit cards and support team is just as worthless as the app

I have some reoccurring charges that I know are based on subscription that don’t show up for me to easily cancel. Thought that was the whole point of this app. I managed to cancel 2. 1 with the help of the app, 1 on my own. Why aren’t all the subscriptions showing up? Especially when it’s all charged to the same card (these may be under different emails).

Once linked to a bank account it does everything for you. You can track everything. Amazing. 10/10

This is a great program to use when you cannot keep track of all the loan or credit card payments. However, it is not precise because there are credit card companies that do not sync with this app.

It doesn’t tell you, but you have to turn on and let it know if it’s reoccurring or not. So I had reoccurring bills coming in on me that I didn’t know about so if you don’t know about them, you can’t click that. It is a reoccurring fee.. I trusted Rocket Money to help me with this, but I still got screwed.

All their ads say things like, "easily see what subscriptions you have and cancel them." I don't see subscriptions or how to cancel them anywhere.

I downloaded this app to delete a specific subscription that I keep getting charged for. I have no idea where the subscription is coming from. Come to find out this app won’t let me cancel it either and it also doesn’t show where it’s coming from. I am so upset and will be deleting this.

I used to have more options for finding subscriptions I could cancel and higher bills that could be taken care of, but it seems now that none of that is available like it used to be a year ago. Doesn’t seem worth the cost of the app.

I’m searching to cancel subscriptions. They make it seem like boom! All these subs pop right up. There’s more I know o have that aren’t even shown.

They pitch value additive services to save you money, but everything they offer makes them money, and the savings are negligible or non-existent. You are the product, not the customer. Avoid.

Rocket Money signs you up as being a “free” way to get rid of subscriptions but then pushes you to sign up for “premium” at $7-12 month. I signed up at $7/month after a free trial, so I ended up adding another subscription! I gave it a try. Rocket Money provided me no new information, and some of what they had was wrong. They sell you that they will help you save money and get rid of subscriptions that you did not know you have, which they will cancel for you. All of the subscriptions that I had I knew about and Rocket Money said that they could not cancel about half of them through the app. This is an overrated and over advertised application that does little more than add another subscription that I don’t need for them to gain access to my personal finances for data mining and possible promotional opportunities for other stuff I probably don’t need. Already, they offered me car insurance. Great, more spam! They can’t actually cancel all of your subscriptions, in my case, they could not cancel about half. They push you into “premium,” then you sign you up for another subscription! This is a complete rip off. Steer clear. My bank gives me the same functionality without charging me. I cancelled the premium subscription during the promotional period.

This app seems really cool (I’ve only been using it for about two weeks now) the only complaint I have is when I try to save but wanna save a custom amount every month I have trouble choosing the exact amount. For example, I wanted to start an emergency fund and save $50 every month but the base amount is 60 and I try to lower it and it drops to $10 and there’s no in between here. Thank you for your time!

I tried signing up for Rocket Money online. It wanted to charge me a monthly subscription. During the process of canceling it said “wait our app is free”. I downloaded the app, reconnected my accounts and now the app wants to charge. I am very miffed.

I linked 3 accounts (Apple, main bank and PayPal) and somehow it still showed it couldn’t find any subscriptions for me. Yet it had Apple’s $9.99 at the top of the list… uncategorised. No thanks.

Your commercials make it look so easy to find subscriptions and cancel. But somehow on your app, I don’t see anything that shows subscriptions or any way of canceling anything.

If you want another subscription bill like they advertise to get rid of them this is the app for you! They advertise that they find hidden subscriptions, literally found no hidden subscriptions and wanted to charge me to do anything else! What a scam

This service is not free. You have to pay for a subscription to unlock all features. So the money you saved by canceling the other subscriptions that you don’t need is going to Rocket Money. So what’s the point in using this to save money when you have to pay for the service. The bottom line is you’re not saving any money because you’re just adding another subscription to pay for this app.

This app is a live saver and is the best thing I’ve found to keep me from over spending and keeping an eye on my funds!!

Overall, this is a fantastic app. It's missing a few slightly less common accounts that I have for example, my company pension. I can work around that more importantly major feature request is MCP server capability. I would like to use AI of my own design to pull the aggregate data across all of my account accounts via rocket product manager if you're reading this, I would hop on this because that's coming soon to some financial system somewhere and everybody will use it.

Wanting a reputable company to cancel subscriptions but I keep getting bogged down because they want Service Name. If I had access to that, I’d be contacting the company myself to cancel. Very frustrated. Am hopeful that customer service will rescue me .

There is a lot to love about this app EXCEPT the one thing that would make budgeting truly functional - the ability to rollover surplus or deficits in budget lines from month to month. They have a savings assistance option that they rolled out that you could use for excess perhaps - like if you are saving for a vacation, etc - but it doesn’t help if you have quarterly bills like water bills. Additionally, that savings feature requires they take money from your account and put it into their own fdic bank to hold it for you. Basically, I’ve come to the conclusion that they aren’t acting on the number 1 requested feature for the past few years bc they are likely trying to make work around that also gain them interest while they help you hold your money. Am I right? I’m not sure. But do I have what I find I most need from the app? Sadly no. We are switching to monarch. Wish they would just implement the rollover - I’d love to stay with Rocket.

I love how this app helps me keep track of all my subscriptions. Sometimes life gets the best of me and this app helps to keep me on track with my finances. It gives me peace of mind and helps me cut costs where I can.

I was at the point of just closing my bank account and opening a new one bc the charges were coming from everywhere and I had no handle on what I was paying and to whom. Rocket is a great way to see the details and get it sorted. No joke after using it for a week I’m getting a few hundred in fraud refunded and also cancelling at least a hundred a month in subscriptions I didn’t know about. It helped me a lot.

Downloaded Rocket Money to help remove any unnecessary recurring payments from subscriptions, Did not do any of that, in fact they started charging me $12.00 more dollars a month for a supposedly free app. Ironic

I like Rocket Money I like that it tells me my balance and every morning and things that come through and things that are coming and whatever I’m already on top of my own subscription so that’s completely useless but the most inconvenient thing is the handshake between my bank UBS checking account and I don’t know what they use plaid whatever it is it breaks constantly it’s been annoying for years but now it’s completely broken and no matter what I do I can’t get it to fix itself like it always used to eventually so now why am I paying for this I will disconnect soon there are others

I had really high hopes for this app and thought it was going to be super helpful but so far it’s kind of useless. It’s only picked up about half my expenses and is telling me I have way more money in my budget left to spend then I actually do.

If you desire to take control of your money instead of having your money control you, then Rocket Money is a must have!! Absolutely love this app!! 5 stars is not enough!!

This app isn't nearly what it advertises. "Unwanted subscriptions" are any payments of the same cost that seem to occur on a near-monthly basis. It referred to my transferring money to a friend a couple times as a subscription, among other things as well as the cost of me frequenting my favorite smoothie place? Speaking of subscriptions, though Rocket Money advertises clearing any "forgotten subscriptions", they offer a subscription trial to their services but fail to provide a reminder when it's over AND the subscription isn't shown on the subscription calendar in the app. Every "okay" feature is locked behind their subscription paywall, unsurprising as this is how most apps are nowadays, but considering they're attempting to help manage expenses, that's quite showing as to how they're doing.

It is a comfort to see at anytime when money is coming out of your account. Right at your fingertips,no searching for a bill - knowing what's coming i out and how much leeway I have for spending without over drawing.

I’ve been using rocket money for a few years now and loving it. I have multiple credit cards and two bank accounts and having it all in one place allows me to really be on top of things. Also the easy ability to see how much I spend in each category has been really helpful. Highly recommend!

I feel like a bunch of people use Cashapp, Affirm, Afterpay, Klarna etc. and for Rocket Money to still not have those as linkable just ruins the app for me. I’m bad with money and that’s why I have rocket money but I feel like it hasn’t helped me past just viewing subscriptions after like 6 payments.

They will estimate the amount you owe them by how much they save you annually so 12 months and they don’t let you adjust the percent or time frame. So if they save you $50 a month they say they save you $600 a year and they charge you $300 if you set it to 50%. I was under the assumption it with the monthly payment because I plan on moving in 4 months. It’s just weird that an app charges you so much when they are targeting people struggling to pay their bills. UPDATE: messaged them and I got an Ai bot so yeah…

I’ve been asking for help to get a money issues solved. And still till this day it’s hasn’t been fix. I’m just told to wait and nothing it’s been three months. And I can’t cancel or resolve the issues so I just have it.

The mobile app is super nice. But, without an Apple or Windows app it brings less value. BOTTOM Line: get an app out that does not require me to pickup my phone to use it.

Does not let you export specific transactions to csv files. Makes transferring info to excel sheets difficult

This app is trash it does nothing like advertised it doesn’t lower your bills it just puts you in contact with scam companies offering garbage services that then sell your contact information starting a never ending harassment cycle. It also doesn’t help having a budget. That’s always two weeks behind on updating everything.

I have been trying to save money, but it won’t link to my account. It’s linked to my account, but it won’t pull every time. I try to put something into the savings. It won’t let me it keeps showing a negative.

Saves me money!

I really do love the app and the service it offers. However, im frequently getting notifications of "refunds" that were purchases that I have made and I have to report the issue. Hopefully with the update I just did maybe that issue may be fixed but it throws me and the numbers in the app off and makes the experience frustrating.
