My husband and I both downloaded this app when we were saving for our wedding. We hadn’t yet combined our finances and this was the perfect way for us to save “together”! We have multiple little funds for things like pet care, vacations, new cars, etc. We loved it for years, but the last 18 months have completely changed our mind and frankly just want out. It started when my “payday divy” (automatic savings on payday) started acting up and $150 just went missing. After months of arguing with support, and an eventual email from the supposed CEO, I was mansplained how transfers work and were told that despite there not being any record of where this $150 went, to rest assured it was somewhere within my account…. Despite none of my balances changing…Cool. It happened a second time to I’ve been manually moving my money every payday since. Well now my husband and I need to move money around for a large purchase and I tried for three days to transfer my portion of a fund to his card and every single time I try a transfer to him the app freezes. I had to instead transfer the money to my personal bank then Venmo to him stretching out the process by about a week. So if you are looking for an unreliable way to save your money, but not be able to actually touch it, then this app is for you!

Yes, I’ve been a loyal Qap user for years and to date- $100,000 saved. It’s so helpful because I only see what I have left so I can only use that amount each month. It’s simple and the goal settings makes it easy use regardless of how much you can save. You don’t have to make a lot to save as much as you can. You can round up, take 5 or large withdrawals! I paid off my car in two years! I’ve taught how to use the app to military veterans transitioning out! 10/10

This was one of my favorite apps and over time they have gotten so greedy. I can’t support this anymore, I’m done!

Great way to save money

I’m sooo sad to say that I’ve had Qapital for about 3 months and saved almost $300, but unexpectedly my bank and Qapital stopped syncing, so now i can no longer keep saving money which is very frustrating. Qapital has been great trying to help me but we have been unsuccessful.

I really like Qapital, and I’ve been a member for many years. That’s actually why I wanted to write this review. There’s something about Qapital that I’ve always liked. It doesn’t feel like just another banking app. The whole idea behind it, making saving visual, giving your money different goals, and making the process feel simple, has always been really creative :-) I especially love the Funding section and Payday Divvy. Being able to put money into my Spending account and then divide it between different savings goals is one of my favorite parts of Qapital. I love how that works now, and honestly, I wouldn’t want you to change it What I really want is to see more of that creativity throughout the app. Over the years, I feel like a lot of the core experience has stayed pretty similar. I know you’ve continued updating the app, and I’ve noticed newer things like Ask Qapital and the personalized insights. I actually like seeing that because it shows me there are still new ideas being explored. I just wish there was more of it. More features. More sections to explore. More creative ways to save, organize money, track progress, interact with our goals, and understand our finances. Things that make longtime members open the app and think, “Oh wow, they added this?” I’m not saying Qapital needs to become complicated. Please keep the simplicity. That’s part of what makes it beautiful. And please keep the features that already work well. I just feel like there is so much potential here that hasn’t been explored yet. After being with Qapital for so many years, I don’t want to just watch the app stay comfortable with what it already is. I want to watch it grow. I want to see what the team can come up with next. Ask Qapital feels like a step in that direction, and I hope you keep going. You already built something that people like me have stayed with for years. That means something. There’s a really good foundation here. Don’t lose what makes Qapital Qapital. Just keep building on it. I really believe this app could become so much more while still keeping everything that makes it simple and special today. I hope the team sees that potential too

We love using this app to help us save for vacation, pet grooming, you name it. Anything that you want to put aside money and it doesn’t feel so painful when it’s just rounding up every time you buy something or putting a little bit each week.

I enjoyed the app as kind of a set and forget about savings thing. It came in clutch a few times when I was in a pinch. The only problem I had before was how long it would take to get the money transferred back to my account. Sometimes it took 3-4 days. Recently I tried to login and it wouldn’t let me. Turns out because after a few years of using this. All of a sudden they needed my SSN updated.. there was no warning of cancelation if not completed. I just had a baby and life happened. I don’t check my emails every single day unless I’m expecting something. They canceled my account and I’m waiting on what ever funds were in there.

Great app! Love setting it and forgetting it then when I check it I have a nice little chunk of change for whatever I want

Wonderful app for saving!

This has been an incredibly frustrating and unacceptable experience. Qapital deleted my account without giving me proper notice, while I still had money saved in my Goals. Even worse, when I contacted customer service, I received inconsistent explanations about why and when my account was deleted. The story seemed to change depending on who I spoke with. When a company is handling someone’s money, transparency and consistency should be the bare minimum. Instead, I was left trying to get basic answers about what happened to my account and my savings. I am extremely disappointed with how this was handled and with the lack of clear communication from customer service. This experience has completely destroyed my trust in Qapital.

Cool app

I’m retired and on a fixed income and it’s not always easy to set aside money for savings. I’ve been saving money through Qapital for approx 5 years and I’m amazed how easy it is!

Everyone who is assigned to help you is an AI bot, they do not resolve the issue. This app will run you in circles with problems and no results.

I’ve been using Qapital for over 7 years and it has helped me save for so many significant things like vacations, Christmas gifts, car repairs and so many others. It makes it so easy to save as much or as little as I want based on my income and budget! Love it!!

Every time I’ve had an issue, their customer service has been not only unhelpful, but also slow. I waited 15 minutes for a rep, then took another 30+ minutes. Have been left for over 20 minutes without reply. They’re unhelpful, poor communicators, absolutely refuse to give refunds. I experienced this poor service about 5 years ago, then wanted to revisit the app/thought it may have improved. Since they continue to make it absurdly difficult to get any legitimate support, I will not be dealing with them again. Look for another similar app, unless you never plan on closing your account, modifying your subscription, having any technical difficulties, or caring where your money is.

I have had this savings app for years and it has helped me save. But since taking away physical debit cards I can no longer say I love it. You can only use digital cards now and it always declines my purchases. I wish you would bring the physical cards back.

This makes saving honestly the easiest thing you'll do all week. Customizable rules, overdraft protection to make sure your account never goes under $100. It's literally fun. Go download the app… like now. If you're this far into the review you're already making a mistake you could've saved like five dollars by now. Seriously.

I’ve told friends about this app for a long time now. Love that you can save money without even thinking about it and the monthly cost is minimal. It feels like you’re taxing your current self to give to your future self.

i’ve been a capital for at least five years and recently had the worst experience. I recently turned off all automatic deposits because I’d reached my savings goal and cashed out earlier this year. Despite the deposits being off (not just paused which I’m aware only lasts a week) I was charged $35 several times for having insufficient funds in my linked bank account, which has never happened before nor does it make sense to charge me for not adding money to my own savings account. they also made no attempt to reimburse me or make things right.

I was a huge fan. Now…the new update or regulations they are following made me lose access to my account. I’ve submitted multiple tickets via their website. This has lead to the case information being deleted and starting all over. I’ve don’t that three times. I have a couple hundred dollars I can’t even access. Wild! If I ever get access, I’m done! I’m pretty sure this will get a reply directing me to email their team - which I’ve done. Thankfully I was able to put a block on future transfers via my bank. Do yourself a favor…go with ACORN.

This app is cool to use but if you ever attempt to close account or cancel membership the app makes it so hard to stop. Even when you follow the directions listed it doesn’t go thru with the account deletion. You have to email support but that takes forever and a day to the point that you get charged several times before it actually deletes your account. It’s very frustrating that an account focused on financial health can make it incredibly difficult to cancel when you choose to no one utilize it. Very dissatisfied

Absolutely HORRENDOUS service. If you want to throw your money in an account and have them lock you out of it randomly and then not want to give you access back to it for weeks at a time then this is the app for you! I’ve been kicked out of my account due to their own doing now I have a hefty sum of money sitting somewhere I have no access to. All support says is we are working on it. Days on end. Absolutely terrible platform. If I could give 0 stars I would.

I updated my app and they are now requesting your home address and SSN. Why is this needed. Unable to access account until I enter that info. Continuing to withdraw from my bank account

It keeps taking money from my checking account that I do not have in there. I’m in the red $600 at the moment because of this app. It happens often.

I used to have both digit and This?, I’m so glad that I’m able to leave the other platforms for this one truly does what it says it does. It doesn’t screw with you. Yes, it may take a day to transfer but none of your money goes missing they’re not suspicious and they even allow you to pick your account level. I don’t usually leave reviews but this definitely deserves someone’s attention. Thumbs up A+ thanks for helping me understand the beginning of savings.

I’ve had this app for years and it’s helped me reach my saving goals however today something is going vastly wrong and I can’t login or access any of my money. This bug needs to be resolved immediately. When it’s good it’s good, but when it isn’t working it’s a real disappointment. Please restore my trust in this app.

Long story short: do not trust them with your money or banking information. Check their BBB page as well for other people’s experiences. Would give it 0 stars if I could. I have had a Qapital account for years since you first started. In the past year or so I have started using it for saving again. I got a notification today like normal that a transfer was processed from my bank. I go to check my account on the app and I am logged out, which is weird. When I attempt to log in, it says that they are "reviewing my documents and will follow-up in 1-2 days to finish setting up my account". Makes no sense because as I mentioned, my account has been active for a while now with transfers going through no issues. I attempted to reach out to the customer service chat but it stopped responding entirely in the middle of our "conversation". I now have several hundred dollars in the account and no way to access it. Absolutely unacceptable customer service from a company that is handling people's money. Please help me retrieve my funds so I can delete my account immediately.

Qapital was recommended in a book on budgeting I read. I’ve recommended it every time spening has come up in a conversation. Its rules make saving automatic and virtually painless. I’m halfway to my emergency fund and am about to implement some new rules to chip away at my credit cards. So easy to use. So worth it!

This app has been the tool that has enabled me to finally have some success in saving. The round-ups and the paycheck divvy has been so motivating. It motivates me to be more disciplined so that I can see those amounts increase. I get round ups for the bills I already pay so I pay myself while still paying my bills!

Bank account continued to get disconnected without reason, asked to confirm identity but wouldn’t allow me to send photos of documents—had to contact support and email them. Established rules would stop working and I would have to reinstate them. After months bank would still randomly disconnect—said my username was wrong when nothing had changed. Attempts to reconnect bank failed asked to contact support. Complete waste of time I spend hours trying to use the app the way it was intended. I finally closed my account and moved on. Four months of dealing with app glitches and support team.

The latest update pushes entirely too many notifications for the invest account. They won’t let you turn this off and attempts to modify any settings crashes the app. The redesign has created more problems than benefits.

i just find it weird that this app is about helping people budget but cost money to use… like i get it but $6 dollars seems a little much for a app about budgeting and with the world now even $1 needs to be saved even the discontinued pennies…

I had know idea of all the savings that adds up. But I’m little disappointed I haven’t yet received my card I requested. Several times I was asked to activate my card which I have not received yet. My only concern did it go elsewhere. My address is the same and I’m not sure why I haven’t received it.

I love Qapital. It has been my main financial app since it was released. I will likely never stop using it but I desperately would like to see the return of one feature. Please let us add multiple goals to one rule again. I have so many rules because I have various short and long term goals, and use goals as a sort of digital envelope budgeting system. It requires so much oversight on my part to manage them all. I used to have one rule that would represent a category like “spending” or “savings” that would divvy up money equally among all the goals I added to it and I want that back so I can simplify my money flow again. The framework is already there to majorly compete with emerging SaaS like Sequence. Also, it would be monumental to fully unlock payday divvy. Allow it to trigger on deposits like a rule, and also allow us to portion more than just 50% for a particular account or goal. Different people have different use cases, payment schedules, etc. Allowing us to unlock those kinds of limitations on rules and payday divvy would make this service so much more powerful as a budgeting/savings tool, and more competitive as others are entering the market. Thank you for the service regardless! Update 5/21/26: I am going to experiment moving everything I currently do on Qapital over to my SoFi account. Over the last decade of using this app I have seen the features narrow and the ability quality of the experience degrade. The abysmal APY has always bugged me but for my use case didn’t matter much since I used it more as a “spending category” system than a long term savings system, and I think the investment goals offset the low APY. However, recent issues with withdrawing money from my goals into my Qapital Spending account and discrepancies between what is displayed as available and what the app actually lets me transfer has been a sort of “last straw” for me. My use-case of a digital envelope budgeting system becomes really untenable when a goal displays an amount of money as “available” but upon transfer gives me an entirely different amount available (sometimes even saying $0 are available). It makes even less sense to me since it’s between Qapital accounts. No matter what though, it just doesn’t work for me or my purposes anymore. I’m going to keep my investment portfolio, but start using SoFi for my savings goals and digital envelopes. No amount of pretty interface decisions can overcome loss of functionality and degradation of quality. I really want the devs to understand that. I still like the look of their interface more than SoFi, and even think some of their features are preferable. However, I have never had transfer issues between my Sofi accounts, the vaults systems is clunky but serves the same function as goals for my purposes, and it’s also not an additional service on top of my existing checking and savings accounts with them. I’d come back to Qapital only if they return features and consider boosting APY to a competitive rate. Otherwise I think it’s just time to go.

I had this app years ago and went to get it again. I simply wanted to know what the paid tiers were before signing up and the site shows them nowhere, neither does the stupid AI. Support told me they have 3 tiers, and when I signed up in the app there was only 1 option they forced me into, which was counter to what everyone else said.

I have such a variance of small transactions it’s nearly a full time job keeping track of what to put back. I’ve used this as my set it and forget it method.

I’ve used this app for a long time then suddenly in the past few months it’s had nothing but problems with bank connections and staying functional.

I’ve loved this app because it is simple and clear. It isn’t cluttered with things that just distract and confuse. I’ve saved and invested so much so easily. Please don’t let it become like the many apps I don’t use to save and invest because they don’t make me feel at peace. On other platforms, everything is a pitch, trying to make you spend the money you’re trying to save. I already feel like the update is trying to hide what I want to focus on. It’s not saying how much I’ve made overall in my investment anymore. It used to have the amount earned right under the total invested.

What did you do? Withdrawing everything now because this ugly interface made it like any other banking app. Yikes.

I’ve used this app for about 10 years and I used to love it. Recent updates have my bank disconnecting every other day. The new dashboard is glitchy and keeps displaying incorrect numbers for my balances. Feeling increasingly unsafe keeping my money here.

With this app, you do absolutely set and forget. I set up all my goals and I just forget about it. It’s been the easiest best way for me to be able to save money. It is the most incredible thing I can’t tell or express how much I love this app, but seriously a lifesaver hundred thousand percent recommend it if you need to save money!!

This used to be a fantastic app, one of my favorites. For some reason, as of late, they decided to apply the same minimalistic playbook every other major company uses for their designs, and they removed important functionality from the app, such as being able to see a summarized increment/decrement across all accounts, the actual investment goal amounts, which are now nowhere to be found, and the custom goal pictures. Now they're the same as every other app. What made them great is no longer there.

I’m a new user and the customer service is bad because I’m having trouble withdrawing my money and customer support doesn’t answer me they need to have real agents answering messages and have a phone number available. Please contact me as soon as possible

I’ve been using Qapital for a couple years now and I love everything about it. Each year I’m able to save money for kids Christmas etc and it has really helped me.

This app would be a GODSEND for us ADHD/ neurodivergent folks who know we need to “set it and forget it” in order to save. However, it only really works with big banks. I asked why and was told smaller credit unions don’t have the tech to support Qapital. Umm. Ok. So big banks only? Already this is not as useful for me as part of living in dystopian America is fighting the terror of big banks and this app only works with big banks. Problem 1. Ugh. As a CONCEPT, this app is perfect. In practical application, it’s been a huge disappointment and a huge headache. I keep trying to use it because IF IT WOULD JUST WORK , it is exactly the solution I am looking for. Instead, I find myself chasing money between my own accounts trying to get the damn rules to trigger. Please someone, make exactly this app, just make it work for credit unions and we will be golden.

I used to love this app until it continued to disconnect from bank and savings are halted for over 6 months! I have not been able to save via round up rule in months and only continues to disconnect! I hope they look into this and correct the error

This app is such a great way to save up money. I have been using it for at least a couple of years. You can have any money you want taken out weekly or just have your debits rounded up and put safely away until you need it. I do both and could not be happier. There is safe guards to utilize if your checking account goes below $100 where it will pause until you have a substantial amount back in your account.😃

Trying to change your funding account is a joke. They require you to submit photographic proof of identity to change funding accounts, including holding up ID next to face and submitting through the app. They don’t send a confirmation that the submission was sent in, you have to wait a week to see if something changes or not. You don’t get confirmation when a transfer is started to your bank, leaving you in limbo not knowing if it is started or not. Trying to contact support through the app just says “Something went wrong. Content couldn’t be loaded”. Don’t use this app.

Guys this app is amazing! I’ve set 3 goals and without even feeling it I've already saved a little over $600 months based on my preset goals like one of them is to transfer $5 a day and so forth. I am bad with saving so for me this app it’s a complete life changer. Also if your balance gets low it pauses your goals until it calculates that it’s safe to work with your attached bank account so it will not overdraft. I highly recommend it!!!!

Nice way to save money

This is what I call, set it, forget it and use it when in need for a surprise purchase, goal or even to use when you don’t want to use your actual primary account. One of my favorite apps!

At first I wasn’t sure what this was since it just started. But I am extremely happy that I did. It’s so cool because it saves your own money in a separate account. You set up your own goals and how much it puts in your account. I usually round up to the next two dollars. Before you know it you have saved a good chunk of money. Plus it has a card you can use.

The diversity of rules gives you solid control of the saving patterns with the convenience of “set and forget.” I’ve been using it for years and it’s become an essential for me.

I use to say that I didn’t have enough money to save thinking I had to have a lot to save. A little goes a long way!! Not only have I been able to save for little things like a concert but also big things like a trip to Jamaica!! There are many different t ways to save, didn’t amounts to save at a time. You’re in control and it’s fun. You don’t even notice the money being transferred. You can set it so if your account it’s lower than a certain amount, savings will pause as well as pause it altogether if your need to. I’m glad I was referred to this app.

Swipe to delete and a option to tap and choice is missing under upcoming transfers section it takes wag too long to do it that one by one. And there use to be a section that showed you how match you saved from the very beginning either it missing or I can't find it anymore bring it back

I have been a longtime user of this app. It is great tool for saving and investing. it makes it simple an easy to set rules and save extra money. The investment options are great as well, over the last 4 years it has yielded great returns for me!

This app is Crazy. I have hade I for probably almost Ten years I have saved so much money. You have to be committed but you can set a savings for everything. I even give customer support 4 plus stars for handling my phone number change ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

It does the work for me. All I have to do is make sure that the funds are available and it’s set up in a way that I don’t even notice that it’s gone. Hopefully I reach my goal soon than I would trying to just put it away independently. I’ll be setting my kids up an account soon.

All their ducks are in a row. The rules are helpful, and they have precautions in place so that you don’t accidentally overdraw from your bank account. Additionally, you can get a spending debit card and an investment account which they make super easy. My finances have never looked better.

The bsst app!!! Ive saved so much money!!

I started my goal and then I decided to stop it and then wanted to move whatever money I had in Qapital back to the original financial institution. Spent 30 minutes in the app and still could not figure out how to transfer the money back to my back account. And also it’s not real time, it takes 7-9 days to get the money back.

In less than six months I’ve saved over $1000 bucks effortlessly! It’s such a seamless/thoughtless process that just seems to magically happen! And when you desire to withdraw some cash it’s a few clicks away from becoming available! Honestly, when most of us break a $20 bill we have no idea where the rest of it goes anyway!

I’ve had this app for about 2 months and have saved $600 thus far with the options I’ve selected. I’m really enjoying how user friendly everything is and how easy it is to track your investments and keep tabs on your money. I’ve opted out of getting the card because I don’t want any temptation to spend the money I’m saving. Really loving this app and will continue to use it. Saving for retirement because I don’t know if I’ll have social security when I retire

Chat agent named Alexandra literally disconnected from the chat as I was expressing my frustration to her about a deposit that was supposed to arrive on a certain day but didn't. Extremely unprofessional and unsympathetic. Unreliable app if you actually need money for an emergency.

This app might be the most useless app on the app store. Maybe good for a elementary school student to learn about saving (at best). Avoid this weirdly named app at all costs.

Every time that I try to verify my phone number it keeps saying that someone with that number already has an account and I don’t have an account. It’s so frustrated because I can’t even get in contact with someone to assist me.

I’ve had capital since 2016, and it’s helped me save thousands of dollars. I would not have the savings & investment accounts I do today without this life changing app. 10/10 stars would recommend to a friend.

This is such a fun app that I’ve used for a number of things over the last several years. It’s a great way to be prepared for things like Christmas or vacations. I use it for so much!

Great way to save

Was getting charged $6 a month despite stopping my subscription through Apple subscriptions. Didn’t notice till double checking my bank account. They have a loophole where you have to cancel the subscription through the app. So shady and dishonest. Really frustrating.

Love Qapital. The round up rule allows an easy way to save little amounts of money regularly. I am able to have funds available immediately for vacation and if needed, emergencies.

It is so easy to save money! You never miss it, it just rounds up your change from your debit spending. You don’t miss what you don’t see. And it’s never more than $1 at a time but it adds up. I love this app!

Some people are good with money and saving. Sadly I’m not quite there yet, but this helps because I can see it the savings, automate it and it keeps it away from my main account, so should any last minute charges come up it won’t pull from it. So yeah, I like it a lot. I also like how graphically put together it is, I really appreciate that as a freelancer in the advertising field.

I loved this app for well over a year, recommend it to all my friends. Helped me save easily and quickly. Until it started not being able to sync with my bank. It would work, then disconnect almost daily. If I wasn’t cautious it would go days-weeks without being synced up, while taking my money for my subscription. Reached out to support and they basically said it’s an ongoing issue and just pull my money out.

Qapital helps me save 20 dollars each week and after several months it helps with catching up on some of the credit card invoices or groceries. I am budgeting to add more to my Qapital account. It is trustworthy tool and flexible in money management. All I needed to do is set it up to my main bank account and set the rule to allow Qapital to deduct 20 or how ever much you would like to tuck away for a rainy day, that simple. Set it and forget it.

Thanks to the Qapital app, I was able to meet my Christmas saving goal by March! I don’t usually have my Christmas money for gifts until November. This app is a serious game changer. I love it. I wish I had started using it years ago.

Buyer beware. They kept charging me $12 a month after my subscription was cancelled and refused to refund me. I had to keep getting my bank involved until I was finally forced to shut down my bank account completely as they had my information.

I hate to do this because I’ve loved this app for years, but something has happened within the last year or so that has resulted in my bank being disconnected more often than not. Many times I don’t get a notification or email about it so I am disconnected without knowing it and I go without saving. I am nowhere near my goals that I used to meet because of this. Each time the issue is addressed, it can take several weeks for the connection to get reestablished. So much potential savings gone. I don’t know if it’s because I use a credit union, but the app is rapidly approaching uselessness. I’m so bummed.

Years ago, when I began to pay off debt, I made a commitment to myself to not borrow money for things I want. Instead, I’ve been using Qapital to save for them in advance. It’s so easy to keep track of your progress towards individual goals.

This app was great and I’ve had it for years until randomly I had pending transfers that were taking a lot long than usual. Also I never received any more information after uploading to needed documents for the debit card. I decided to email customer service and they straight up closed my account and claimed it was due to “fraudulent activity”. I simply just want my account back.

When the app works, it’s wonderful but if there’s any bug, you’re screwed. The customer support is the WORST! I contacted them 2 days ago and still no response. A couple of years ago I had a problem and it took a month to get it working again. Not being able to actually talk to someone is extremely frustrating. It has too many times that it loses connection to my bank. I reconnected my bank and it’s still not working. I have other apps that are connected to my bank and don’t encounter this problem. Very frustrating. It has taken as long as a month to fix in the past.

I save for Christmas gifts. Vacations. Business taxes. Pulls weekly, I don’t even notice. Just came back from a “paid for already” vaca. SO easy!!! Can’t wait for Christmas when I have no stress about spending money because I’ll have more than enough.

I absolutely love Qapital! I have always had difficulty saving money but with Qapital saving is easy and fun. I love personalizing my goals seeing my money grow.

We were ready to close our Qapital and transferred all of our money to our bank account, but only a portion actually made it into our account and left us with about $7,000 missing. It has been two months with no resolution or action taken to give us our missing money back.

There is not alot of recourse when this bank takes your money. I’ve been trying for weeks to get my money back from them and it’s nothing but the run around. I would avoid at all costs. I’ve filed complaints with fdic and federal consumer protection bureau.

Great savings to reach your goals.

Firstly, the app automatically has these settings in place where a certain percentage of your paycheck gets moved into savings. I was not aware that this was set up. A big chunk of money got put into savings when I didn’t want that much moved over. I tried to transfer it back, and I got an error saying that the funds had to settle for 3 business days before I could move them back to my account. The funds were taken out on the 26th of this month. It is now the 2nd of the new month and I contacted support and I now have to wait until the 6th apparently before the money settles. 6 business days after the money is taken out of my account. The miscommunication is AWFUL. I would not have set this up if I knew it would take over a week to move the savings back over to my account when needed

Update: I continue to recommend this app. There have been updates to the UX which have improved it. This app is great for saving money. However, the new update has taken it from clean and simple to gross accountant

This company will lock your account for no reason and with no notice. When you try to contact them about why they aren’t allowing you to use YOUR funds, it will take forever for them to respond to you. If you want to bank with an overlord, Qapital is just that! Don’t waste your time. Go somewhere else and avoid the nightmare that is Qapital Banking!!!!!

This used to be a great app. Having not used it in literally 8 years, I logged in last weekend on a whim to delete my accounts to sever ties as I use other apps now. On Tuesday, I was charged $74 plus a $60 annual fee. There was no prompt whatsoever to approve any sort of subscription, transactions, resume goals/round up, etc. To make matters worse, customer service is absolutely useless - it might as well be an AI agent. Please be careful using this app. This is super sketchy behavior for a FINANCIAL application.

I appreciate the value in forgetting that I have this account set up. I am saving without even realizing it, and when I recognize money is being moved and REALLY want to transfer it back to my bank, I don't and remember WHY I am saving, forgetting at its finest!!! ❤️

Qapital makes saving money super easy. I love the flexibility of having as many categories as I want. When it comes time to pay for car bills, entertainment, etc, the money is already saved!! Great for budgeting and saving.

App forces you to punch in personal information BEFORE telling you it’s going to be $6 a month? It’s no where in the app description that this is a free trial and then $6 a month. There’s noting that says, “App Purchases Available” and a listing if the subscription as would be normal. Now they have personal details and I can’t take that information back from them. Not cool. Also, what’s with these banking apps using our money to make investments, and then charging us for letting them earn interest off of our money? I’m very confused by this trend. Especially since it’s all cloud-based banking. It’s not like you need to pay people. If you’re not getting enough interest off the investments to pay for your servers, make better investments rather than charging your customers extra subscription fees.

I’ve tried numerous other saving apps, and Qapital blows them all out of the water! It’s extremely easy, intuitive, and fun! It’s the only app I’ve found that offers more rules than just ‘round up to the nearest dollar’ and it makes the experience what it is - amazing. Reading through some of the reviews here, and I just cannot understand the issues these people are experiencing. The claims that customer support is unavailable/unhelpful/useless are just not true. I can count on one hand the number of issues (3) I’ve had with this app over the course of ~6-7 years, and each time, support was readily available and resolved the issue immediately. Issues that people have had with funding & transfers are likely their own fault, whether that be due to not reading, not paying attention, or something else. How anyone could possibly mess it up, I have no idea, as it really is very simple, but based on my own personal experience, I don’t believe Qapital is at fault in a majority of these cases. It really is a fantastic app that has helped me a ton.

I’ve had my accounts for approx 5 years. Use retirement, spend, debt freedom and I love the accessibility. I’ve earned interest on the retirement acct. and would definitely recommend.

I’ve done lots of projects with this saving app. I was able to set vacation goals, enhance my kitchen and without this app I probably would’ve squandered that money. I only wish they took out more before.

SUPER easy to get the money on there lol oh but you want to transfer your money out you gonna have to jump through hoops . I requested for my money to be sent over to my bank and I couldn’t get it all at once . I had to wait days just for me to wait days and it never came . Then I go to the app it’s like I never requested the transfer . Then when I tried to transfer it again it gave an error . I just don’t understand how it’s so easy to get the money there and hard to get it out like this is MY money is it not ? Working with them now to get it back but once I get my money I’m deleting this app .

When the app works it is the greatest for saving money. I have managed to save a significant amount using it. Periodically there is a failure to connect to my bank. I have contacted Qapital multiple times…..1. Have checked bank connectivity. Provided a deposit slip for Qapital to reconnect me manually 3. Uninstalled/reinstalled the app. 4. Sent multiple screenshots of the error reading. 5. Now, apparently Plaid neglects to contact Qapital. I give up and I’m closing my account, UPDATE: I waited a couple of years to try Qapital again. Every problem noted previously still exists. Tech-support has been the best however, I think they are limited in what they can do in order to correct the problem. Somewhere there should be advanced tech support, or intervention from Plaid. If by chance I work with a different representative, everything submitted in terms of screenshots has to be resubmitted. It’s exhausting.

My brother recommended Qapital to me and it was the best apps on my phone. The goals are attainable and the rules they have are pretty awesome. I’m doing the roundup and 52 week rule and I’ve managed to save a nice amount already. I highly recommend this app.

If I could give it negative stars I would. This app has been taking money from me continuously for multiple years. And then blocked access to the account so I cannot access or even see what’s going on with that money. And then they don’t have a phone number to contact customer service. There are 100 better investment apps. Do not Waste your time and money on this one.

I have my goals set up, but the app will automatically set up goals and deposit money into it. Super frustrating. Then I transfer the money from the unwanted goal, into a goal I have already set up, but now have to wait to delete the unwanted goal since there is a transfer process. Would have given the app 5 stars if this was a function I could actually control

Love this app. I save money in small increments but it adds up quick and I don’t miss it from my everyday finances where it would have been spent instead of becoming savings. In a little over a year I have banked well over $1500 forwards a vacation or Christmas or nothing at all. It’s there!! They give you a debit card but I don’t use it for the simple fact that I don’t want easy access or I would be tempted to spend it frivolously.

I loved the Qapital app and used it for years, then one day it stopped working for me. I tried on several occasions to get customer support but the only option was to chat and email which didn’t help because I kept being told the same solution then eventually would get no responses when those solutions didn’t work. Great app horrible customer service. Now I can’t access my money nor can I continue saving.

This app is ok for saving money but customer service is absolutely useless. They do not answer questions, close tickets, ignore responses, make you open duplicate tickets, and give conflicting solutions. Do NOT trust them with money that you might need ASAP like a paycheck or emergency fund. The debit card constantly locks and declines and they provide no assistance. Too many issues and lack of customer service to really use all the features.

I have always kind of struggled with saving money, but this app is seriously the best. It’s almost like a game and I’m addicted. Thank you to whoever created this app, this is the best. My favorite is all of the customizable goals, for example, posting on Facebook, it triggers a save, hitting 10,000 steps, triggers, a save, That makes saving fun. Keep creating more custom rules. This is the best. Highly recommend I can’t say enough good things about it to everybody I talk too.

This app took my whole paycheck out of my bank account without my consent. It was supposed to be only a small percentage of my paycheck, but it deliberately put it all into the account, and when I tried to put it all back into my bank account several times, it told me funding was not authorized. Terrible app.

It’s a great app if you don’t want to use it for any significant amount of money, but good luck if you need to access money quickly. And at times it took 21 hours for customer service to respond to me. I also transferred all of my money out of a market account, they only transferred 1/2 and then told me it was a “bug” that caused the failure.

Hello if you’re thinking about getting this don’t. set this account up maybe 4 years ago and they constantly take money out of my account but there isn’t anything in my savings account. They won’t let me disconnect my bank account either so I am forced to just be stolen from constantilly

I started using this app very early when I first began being conscious of my finances. Discovered Dave Ramsey and this got me thru the “baby steps” passively. I’ve gotten a bit more sophisticated with things since then but I still use this app. Sometimes reaching goals is way simpler than we realize and I recommend Qapital to everyone I know looking to get their first few tens of thousands grown.

The app hasn’t worked for four months. They take their fee out every month however, when I have requested help or followed the instructions, my round up has not worked since November Little when it works it works really well however I just keep noticing there are no transactions except for the three dollar fee

Loved this app and then after less than 2 months, I realized it was no longer auto saving, which was the whole reason I got the app. I tried disconnecting from my bank and connecting back. I tried to delete and reinstall the app. Nothing worked so I cashed out and deleted account. Disappointed

Every time I login it seems to say I already exists. Exhausting just can’t get in. Finally did and all accounts are gone, list like creat them Again? Where Is my money? Not user friendly when it does not work. Been like this a couple of months now

It’s so easy to set up and love how money just moves over to my goals. Rounding up the change and watching it grow.

I’ve been attempting to obtain my funds and Qapital is deliberately withholding them from me. I’ve reached out to customer service more that 15 times over the past 2 weeks, where my concern is disregarded and the case is closed without any information as to why they will not allow me to withdraw my money. A class action lawsuit is going to be the next step if this joke of an app continues to withhold my money. Read the 1 star reviews to understand what this company really is!

This app enables us to pay for trips and toys and to pay all subscriptions annually to maximize discounted expenses. Twice the savings without having to think about it! Everyone should use this app.

I set up a “Set & Forget” rule, but it didn’t move any money for some reason. It’s been a month, and it only moves the scheduled week every time.

It works very well and helps me save without thinking.

I have been long-time user of Qapital and if I’m rating the app itself, I will give it 5 stars. However, if I’m rating the company, I’ll give it less. There are lots of apps that do similar things so based on my bad experience, I’ll say find another. This past fall, I was the victim of a scam. I take full responsibility for the $3500 i was scammed out of as I authorized the transactions. However, Citibank graciously reimbursed me for the $400 that came from that account. Qapital said they follow the Mastercard fraud guidelines and if you authorize a transaction, it’s not their problem. So they covered themselves however because they do not give a single care about their customers, they have nothing to lose. So - i learned my lesson. If you use this app to save money, great. But do not make any purchases unless you are really sure it’s legitimate. Oh - and if you need to cash out of an investment, it takes forever. I’ve been in limbo on a transaction for almost 3 weeks.

I downloaded this app wanting to save for future expenses. I got the debit cart and set up weekly contributions towards a new transmission (savings) general investing (nest egg) and spending (money to be used if I need it). Sounds good, right? Well after activating my debit card I got a text that my account had been suspended for illegal activity. I had zero access to my account. Zero transparency over the money I had already deposited. Now I am out of the trail period and have no access the the money I put into my investment account unless I connect to my bank… something I am more than hesitant to do with this ‘bank’ Just wanted to share this experience. Cheers!

I started using this app 2 months ago just rounding up $2 to start saving to pay off my credit cards. It’s been great! No issues! And they pause savings when your account is low on their own. I really appreciate that. Will be using this app for a long time!

I love the idea but the website is impossible to navigate. I try to log in on my computer and it only allows to create account not sign in if already have an account. So I only can access on phone. and can’t find how to get my money out. It really is such a great idea. I like the help w saving but it is way terrible to navigate Good example. No matter my nickname it claims it is taken and won’t let me submit. Bull. Probably cause I’m giving it a 2 star

This app was not for me but I have to say the company behind the app made it super easy to cancel when I told them I didn’t want to use the app anymore and I wanted to make a note it’s worth trying to see if it works for you because they won’t try anything shady if you ask to cancel.

I never signed up for a premier subscription. They automatically enrolled me FIVE YEARS AGO. I thought it was a savings rule my wife forgot about. Nope, it was just them deciding to transfer $8 from my bank account every month while my account lay dormant. I can’t believe there hasn’t been a class action against this pitiful excuse for an app.

My experience with Qapitals customer support has been extremely disappointing. After reaching out with a critical issue, I expected timely and meaningful assistance. Instead, I was left waiting for over 48 hours with little to no progress made toward resolving the problem. It’s clear that customer care is not prioritized, as there has been a complete lack of urgency or proactive communication throughout this process. What makes this experience even more frustrating is the absence of knowledgeable support or actionable solutions. Rather than being guided toward a resolution, I’ve felt like I’m left in limbo with no clear path forward. For a company that presumably values its customers, this level of service is unacceptable. I hope they take these concerns seriously and work to improve their support system, so other customers don’t face the same lack of assistance. A responsive and capable support team is essential, and right now, it feels like this company is falling far short.

You can set rules to save the money, like automatically pulling from your account when you get paid, a percentage, and you can even put it into stock. The money is easy to move and always accessible and chances are you won’t even realize it’s not I. Your bank account! I highly recommend this app. You won’t be disappointed in what you can save.

I just went to look and see what my account looks like . I signed up to have the round up from my debit card . I have used the card about six times since I signed up . Not one cent has been placed in the account .

This is my favorite savings app! It’s so easy you have full control of your rules and how to save! I’ve been using it for a while now and really has helped me save in general, for vacation, for car maintenance and just overall budgeting for spending and saved me so much money I absolutely love this app it’s so worth it to try! Mine only con for it is every now and then it disconnects from my bank and I have to reconnect it again and sometimes doesn’t take right away unfortunately so that’s annoying I called my bank they said there’s no issue on their end I called Qapital they said it’s a bank issue so not sure what it is so aside from that being a little annoying the app truly has helped me save A LOT over the years

I had almost $400 in the savings in this app that randomly they stopped allowing me to access and withdraw. Then after dozens of u responded support tickets I opened the app and all of my money is gone. Disappeared into thin air. I don't know who is behind this app but I reread some of the terms and conditions and it seems they have already put in clauses that protect them from being held accountable for this theft. If anyone knows how or who I can go to to get my money back or to take legal action against this app please let me know!!! They can't get away with stealing peoples money for no reason whatsoever. and they do not have any real customer service. They do not reply or help and when they do reply they say "developers are looking into this" which means "we don't care 😂 your money is gone". Also there is no way to unlink your bank account. How are they allowed to operate an app that so shamelessly commits theft? Am I missing something? I am extremely angry and will not stop until this is resolved. STEER CLEAR AND REPORT QAPITAL.

I’ve been using Qapital since 2017 (7 years) and I love it just the same as I did when I first downloaded it. Makes saving money extremely easy because you pretty much put it on autopilot. I remember back in 2020, I had saved up $50K using Qapital. They also have great investing strategies, made a good amount of money through that as well.

It takes an extra couple days for the money to move to your Qapital account, I closed my account WEEKS ago and I’m still getting $30 and some change taken out of my bank account and they have been no help.

I’ve been using qapital for years and it has been the best way for me to begin saving. I LOVE the app and the ability to link to a debt card. The app design is flawless and incredibly user friendly. It helped organize my money into visual goals which gave me incentive to save. I love Qapital but I’m only now debating on switching to a high yield savings account. Qapital does have an invest option but it’s not the same as a HYSA.

The CS department is not just useless, they’re incredibly rude and apathetic. I used to rave about this app to anyone and everyone… until I had to change my bank account number for an unrelated issue. I was never able to reconnect my bank to Qapital. The app would say it was connected, then days later (after noticing that none of my rules had activated) the app would give an error message and prompt me to contact customer service. The CSR kept insisting my bank was connected. I contacted them several times over for this issue, to no avail. Finally, I decided to open a new account under a different phone number. All seemed okay, but then again, noticed none of my rules were activating. Again, contacted customer service (as the app stated my bank WAS connected) only to be told that I already had an account, and that I had a “negative balance” needing to be resolved. There was never a negative balance reflected in the previous account, nor should there have been since I hadn’t been able to use that account for a year. Instead of helping me? I was literally told to ‘let them know if I wanted them to close the new account.’ Then they went ahead and closed it out. What a scam, how can an app insist you owe money, yet not make that transparent? I am so bummed because I used this app religiously. But due to their CSRs lack of intelligence, I’ll never be able to use this app, and honestly after the way I was treated, I would never recommend this to anyone. Here is what Wendi, the customer service rep had to say about the “negative” balance (the one that never, for a year, reflected in my account): “ In some cases, you may see a balance of $0.00 in Qapital, and still receive a notice regarding your negative account. This is because a change has been made on the backend, and the negative balance is not reflected in the app. This is your official notification of Qapital’s attempt to resolve your negative balance in the amount of $5.00. It is your responsibility to bring your account into good standing (non-negative). If you'd like to discuss, please reach out to me directly within this support ticket. Verification of the debt is attached. If you would like to proceed with closing the Qapital account, please confirm and we will proceed with the request. Regards, Wendi” Who treats their customers like this? A business that has zero regard for their clients, that’s who.

Good app for saving

It has been great to use this app to save a little nest egg without really noticing. It has done a good job of staying connected to my banking app, which is nice.

I just wanted to see the app from the inside, how it works, what’s in it, but it makes me to link my bank account - and I don’t want to! At the same time to get to that point where it asks me to link my bank account, it already offered me 7 days free trial - and I agreed! Now I don’t see app in my subscriptions and I cannot get into it to cancel my free trial that I don’t want! Cancel my subscription before you charge my card, please, I have no intention to use your app!

I love that this app allows me to save money without me actually seeing the money coming out of my account. I use the round up rule and am pleasantly surprised with the money that I save and the goals that I meet!

Deleted app but they kept charging me for 60 days - app subscription should end upon deleting app

I’ve been trying to cancel my membership and close my account. Every time I try the app freezes. The “live” support has no human agents behind it so you’re just talking in an endless loop. Any app that prevents you from having full control of your money and bank accounts and tries to keep you from canceling is a scam. In addition it keeps saying my bank is unlinked so it can’t take any money from my account to save yet they are able to charge the monthly membership fee to my bank so how does that work? If a company is not straightforward in how they’re moving it’s a scam. This is a scam company with garbage ideals and now I’m going to have to go through my bank to block this app. I used to use this app before they even had membership fees and since they added one it’s gone ridiculously down hill. I had even stopped using the app for saving as it became extremely frustrating to use. Now they’re just straight up stealing money. Make closing accounts accessible and easy or understand that this is a scam you’re running and I work hard for my money. Ridiculous.

I don’t usually leave reviews but Qapital is a really great app. The way it lets you divide your money into savings, investing, and spending is extremely helpful. It keeps everything organized and makes you feel excited to save with progress bars, goals, etc. I did have some issues when I got my spending card though which was concerning because transfers back TO my bank were not working and my card got DECLINED at a grocery store… but the support team helped get it resolved quickly! Looking forward to using the app and growing my savings/investing with it.. the paycheck divy ALONE is worth the subscription cost!!

I cancelled this app the within an hour of downloading it and I was charged $270 to my checking account. What type of business model is this?

I’m just a fan of setting up automatic transfers to “pay myself” first and this app does it perfect. Also love the setting where I can make my credit card charge an extra 15% (I chose 15%) of any purchase i make below $250 (i set $250 limit) which incentivizes me to use my card less and if i use it, i get charged more than what I’m actually serving but that difference is saved. 15% doesn’t sound like a lot but I’ve saved over $1,000 in 5 months without thinking about it.

Even when you cancel the membership, they will continue to charge your card. When you try to contact customer support, you can only file a claim ticket that may or may not be responded to.

I’ve had Qapital for years now and it’s been so so helpful to help me save my own money :). I’ve saved up for many vacations, home projects, funding hobbies, and much more! The debit card is also really helpful, as I can use the money I’ve saved right away, easy peasy! I have recommended it to friends, and my family use it as well. Great app!

I can’t believe I’m writing this review because I have been using this app for years to help me put money away for Christmas. I always referred friends to use this to help with sinking funds and their budget. I attempted to transfer my Christmas fund money to an outside account and it said it didn’t have the balance that was the amount I saved throughout the year. The representative said I only have half the amount in my account which did not match the deposits in my statement throughout the year. Now Christmas is ruined thanks to Qapital and their error on my account. They want me to show proof with Qapital statements because they can’t see it on their end. Who knows how long that’ll take to dispute. In this economy where things are tight and I have to save money for special occasions only to be told somehow that money isn’t there. After this (if it’s even resolved), I’m closing this account and moving to another online bank.

I have to reconnect every single time I open this stupid app. I swear I spend more time trying to keep my account connected than anything else. Every time I open the app I’m disappointed bc I find out, that something has gone wrong again. Maybe it’s my bank, maybe it’s the app. What was once reliable no longer works. This was a Forbes magazine worthy app and now it’s literal trash. But as always greed and stakeholders are destroying another business. Their BBB rating is an F for a reason.

Love that I am able to save but hate the fact that I have to keep adding my bank account every few weeks.

I’ve been a qapital member since it came out and before anyone had to pay for it. I’ve had the worst experiences this year trying to update my address, get a replacement card (they lost the first one, refused to reply, refused to overnight a new one, despite it being their fault), and now for an inexplicable reason my debit card is locked and I cannot unlock it. There is not way to get ahold of customer service to deal with these issues, there’s only automated bots. I’m forced to close my account because qapital is refusing access to my own funds thorough a debit card??

i have adhd and this has been helping. i’ve gone on two international trips and i’m planning a bunch more

I used to love this app and used it often. I haven’t been in a position where I could save like I used to until recently, coming back to the app is too much, I have to send a picture of me my statement and my id EVERY time I wanna switch the funding account I get that your gonna say it’s for the safety of my account however, these are the same accounts I’ve had on here since 2021, and i tried to add some money to the account and it keeps pushing back the “fund” date. As soon as i find another app to save for couples Im leaving

This app transferred money out of my checking account without notifying me. I downloaded the app and connected my checking account. The app wasn’t really what I was looking for, so I stopped using it and it transferred $360 out of my checking account and I have to wait four days to transfer my money back into my checking account.

This app has made it so easy to reach funding/savings goals with so little effort. I tell people about it all the time! There are multiple rules that allow the automation to be tailored to your needs. An example is a recurring deposit on x day of the month or it can be linked to Apple Health and deposit funds when you’ve walked three miles, etc). DEVELOPER NOTES: A humble suggestion would be to add an option to mark a scheduled deposit as “Done” so the rule does not run for that one instance and resumes normally afterwards. Example: I save $50 every 10 days. If I get paid and deposit the $50 as a one time transfer myself 5 days until the rule runs again, can that instance be prevented from running (“done”)?

I loved how much Qapital helped me save. The features can be very cool. But in the last year the app has gotten wonky and the service has now COST me hundreds of dollars in overdraft fees. The staff will sing a song about Plaid’s fault and it’s definitely not anything wrong on their end. But you will be the one with the overdraft fees. I’m not exactly sure what a shrug sounds like over text— but that’s pretty much what I got from their indifferent tech support team.

I always want to save and set money aside but I can never seem to do so. This app makes it easy since I don’t have to think about it once “set it and forget it.”

Really can’t stand the new update. It was perfect for so many years. This app is the only way that I learned real budgeting. Now, with the update, it’s frustrating, hard to navigate and I didn’t download this app to try and invest. Please stop pushing that option. Where are all my savings goals? I can’t find them single file unless I go to “move money” then “new transfer” AND THEN I can see them all single file. I can’t see any newcomer downloading this app long term to learn how to budget. I honestly might switch to a different app. Very frustrating. Do better guys.

I love this app. It helps me visualize all of my goals. Thank you! But I’m disappointed w the update. The previous version - it was much easier to navigate, and most importantly, the goal pictures were large. Now you have to navigate to see all of your folders, and the pics are small. It’s not nearly as effective:(

Update: Latest update is realllllllly pushing the credit card and investing services. I just want to save, and they diluted it down with the things that probably make Qapital money. Been a loyal customer for years and this is the worst update yet.

This app is garbage and is a joke my account got canceled because, I had a short week at work and was not able to cancel the transfer in time , as well as the money I had in my Qapital account I had to take out to and use it to buy food for my family And they deem this high risk activity????? Honestly I’ve had this app for a long time and it’s helped me achieve some saving goals. I’m glad there is a “set and forget” I do $25 weekly, and $100 at the end of the month, easy $200 savings I forgot about about until I open the app. It’s great!!

The update changed the layout of my different funds and now I can’t see them collectively. Not a fan of that. I do enjoy this app and have saved and hit many of my money goals.

The new updates makes the app unusable. There’s not single tab to see all activity. Theres no way to see all goals on a single screen. It harder to manage individual goals because of all the clicking around you have to do. Please return to the previous design. There was nothing wrong with it

I’ve been using it since no one knew about it, just causally for small goals using round up. Now, many of my purchases is through this app and it’s flexibility to save pennies to weekly and much bigger investments 👏

The interface in the new update is a change for the worse. I miss seeing all of my goals - and I also resent that I can’t change the order in which the goals appear. The one that pops up first isn’t as relevant to me, and the one that matters most is stuck at the end, and I have to scroll to see it. Also, what’s with the boring green background at the top of the homepage? Shouldn’t that be customizable instead of a universal unattractive green? I’m about to look into other similar apps. Life is too short and smart phone time is too soul sucking to spend time on an app that’s annoying.

It’s easy to save money. I don’t have to think about it. Set savings and adjust or pause any time. My only critique is I wish there was a savings interest rate other than 0. But it does get me to effortlessly put money aside.

I enjoy the sheer ease of using Qapital. It allows savings without much thought or complicated procedures. I just set perimeters in which funds are added to my account. Balance increases exponentially and funds are easily withdrawn when needed. I am able to save funds for emergencies or rainy day. Love this company. Thank you

I have always had trouble saving. Between day to day life and a set of daily/weekly goals it’s very difficult to set aside some funds for long term investments. This has easily become my favorite way to save not only for personal trips/fun events but also for investment purposes! Really great way to start growing your savings! I also like that I can make goals and set up different rules to help reach my financial goals! For example, once my friend and I decided to go on vacation together this summer, I created a 'travel fund' goal and in three months, I was able to save enough money to completely cover the trip: flights, hotel AND activities! Qapital is a great way to save for an upcoming expense. The small amounts gathered and set aside are hardly missed. Even if you need the money prior to reaching your goal, the money is easy to access.

My friend recommended this app to me as a way to save money without realizing that I'm saving. There are so many different ways to set up your savings. My friend has it set where every time she runs a mile, it put money in her savings. I have the guilty pleasure rule set, so every time I go to Starbucks, it puts away $5. Every time I shop on Amazon it puts away $2. They have round to save. They have a rule that allows you to put away a percentage of your check. There are so many ways to save and I absolutely love it. So glad I downloaded this app and I will be recommending to other friends.

I love that I can have multiple goals for savings as well as different ways/“rules” to go about putting money towards them. It’s literally perfect for me to set and forget. Set your desired rule to your savings goal and it’ll take it out your bank account automatically. If you end up needing that money asap you can transfer it to your Qapital checking account and use your debit card to spend. Have not had issues yet but do wish the “pending transaction” period was not as long as it is now. Still recommend for someone who needs to save without the hassle.

I’ve used Qapital for years and really used to love it as a way to organize my money as a small business owner. Unfortunately, over the last year or so I continuously get error messages saying I can’t transfer my money out of my Qapital account to my regular bank account. Each time, I have to contact support in order to transfer my money. They have not fixed the issue.

Qapital makes saving fun!! You can save as a group for a trip. I set up a Disneyland savings account for my nephew when his mom is ready to take him I’ve saved money so they can have a good time and not worry about money. I save for Christmas. I save for my down payment for a home purchase. I save for emergencies.

We’ve had the Qapital app for a rather long time and deleting it was an extremely hard decision. We’re 100% sure now about the decision even though it’s a little harder to keep track of categories on our own. I loved how you could make goals, set how money gets to those goals, and even add your own fun picture. We actually ended up saving for multiple goals and completing them while using this app. The problem is, it can take over a week for the money to go from your account to the categories so you have to constantly watch it. Sometimes they take out more than promised even though it’s not supposed to take out when your bank is low. Then when you want the money, make sure the event or goal is two weeks away when you withdraw because it can take up to two weeks to get your money back. Towards the end of us using the app last year we got an email and in app notification that they were going to start charging for the app. Why fudge up a good thing? This is an update, we came back to Qapital once they changed the format again to have paid investing (which we don’t use) and free savings.

Qapital has completely transformed my approach to saving money. Before discovering Qapital, I struggled to set aside any significant savings, but now, the app makes the process effortless and automatic. Features I Love: Round-Up: This feature rounds up my everyday purchases to the nearest dollar and saves the difference. It’s incredible how quickly these small amounts add up without me even noticing. Payday Divvy: I also use the payday divvy feature, which automatically allocates a portion of my paycheck into my savings. It ensures that I consistently save a portion of my income without having to think about it. Benefits: Peace of Mind: Having these savings funds gives me a sense of security, knowing that I have a fallback plan for any unexpected expenses. Ease of Use: The app is user-friendly and intuitive, making it simple to set and track savings goals. Customization: Qapital allows me to customize my savings rules to fit my lifestyle and financial goals. Overall, Qapital has made saving money a hassle-free experience. The app’s automated features have significantly improved my financial health, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to build their savings effortlessly.

I’ve been using Qapital for years off and on to save money and when you remain committed to their process, you can really see the difference. It’s an excellent way to make sure you’re making steady progress toward your financial goals.

This app has really helped me save for all of things. You are able to categorize which helps me make sure that I have everything covered. Set the rule and forget it!

I haven’t been able to connect my bank since I downloaded the app. It’s been 3 weeks since I reached out to customer service originally. When I reached out to customer support, all they said was they’ve submitted the ticket but can’t do anything else. Seems like a company this big should have a little more control over how quickly these issues get resolved.

Qapital is a great app that makes saving money more of a visual experience for people like myself that are visual learners and used to compiling money in piggy banks and various envelopes when saving. In some ways ~ it helps to have money saved outside of my direct access via bank savings accounts so it is not as easy for me to spend, thus resulting in more conscious investments and less impulsive spending. I’ve been using the app for about 5 years+ and it has significantly increased my savings abilities as a freelancer. At the moment, it would be great for Qapital to add features like grouping different savings goals together (travels, bills, wish list, studio upgrades, custom groups etc), and most importantly the ability to reorder savings goals. Or perhaps even a way to re-order the list by displaying goals by amount saved, date created, etc. Currently to my knowledge, they all display in order of the time you create them, (most recent one will show up first. Oldest goals will be buried on the bottom. Would love for a way to customize the order in which I can view my list of savings goals (ie: move my Philippines trip to the top because its more exciting than my tax savings or bills i’m saving up for). Hope this can get implemented soon so I can keep using the app and exploring its other features and telling all my friends and family to start saving with me on Qapital.

I like having a way to save without having to really think about. In the first twelve months I saved over a thousand dollars with Qapital. It’s easy and I recommend it to everyone!

I love the convenience of the round up rule, it’s almost like paying myself a fee every time I use my card which makes me think twice before swiping! My only frustration so far is how delayed it is with keeping up with the available balance in my actual checking account leading to pauses in my rules.

so listen used to use this app for years... never transferred any bigger sums of money into. Recently have been and it's almost like I don't have any access to my own money. Cannot transfer stuff OUT for days... talk to support and it's no help. Where is my money?? What are they doing with us for so long...? It's 2024 there's no need for transfers to take a week or longer or you to be able to get half the funds. I have even tried to make transfers and they even say oh we never got that wasn't possible. I cannot wait to close my account and never use this again. Years ago when I used to use this app it wasn't like this at ALL

I haven’t used this app in 2 years. I didn’t have access to it. I was only able to go on with the support team. They replied super fast and all my money I had saved years ago is still there. They require no fees. They genuinely just want to help you save. I don’t know why I got rid of this app. I’m so glad to have it back.

I have been waiting on response from support for days now and I am unable to access upwards of $4000 and funds. I plan on closing my account as soon as I get this rectified.

It’s a great and convenient way to save and not realize it I highly recommend it

I like how my account adds up quickly. Every purchase I contribute to my savings. Pay a bill, save some change. Grab a coffee, save some change. Order online, save the change. Donate money, add change to your own pot. If you do not check daily you will be surprised how much you are saving weekly for yourself!

This is the kind of sneaky savings that I needed. I always wanted to put a certain amount away but would just leave it in my account and lose track.

I was excited to check this app out and use it, unfortunately the app continuously crashed and would not even allow me to verify my phone number so set up a login. Complete waste of my time.

I downloaded this app to save for a vacation, I love that you can have a debit card, which meant I didn’t need to spend any money from my regular checking account while on vacation. I also like that it pauses withdrawals from my account if it thinks they could overdraft it. Overall, it’s easy to use, has customizable savings patterns (I.e percentage of a deposit, 52 week rule, save when purchasing certain items, etc) and has helped me save thousands over the years. I recommend this app to everyone!

This app has been what I was looking for. A way to categorize and plan my savings with methods that actually help me achieve the goal. So far I’ve been able to reach each goal in a way that hasn’t hindered my every day spending.

So easy to use! I love setting goals and not having to worry about them as they get completed! I’ve put so many people onto this app, it’s just THAT good.

This company does not provide a support phone number, which is a significant concern. Additionally, they deducted money that overdrew my account and then refused to return the funds for 4 days, citing security reasons. Due to these issues, I cannot recommend this service, as it limits control and access to your own money. Buyer beware.

I wanted a budget app so I tried a few of them. I didn’t realize that this one actually takes money out of your account to hold for savings. All the others you just say what you plan out of your paycheck to put into savings. This one actually took it. Thankfully I had plenty in our savings to cover the $800 it took out. Then today, 3 days after it took $800 from my checking account, it shows up in the app. I try and transfer it back into my account and it tells me it can only transfer $16 of the $826 today and in 4 business days it will transfer the rest! This is a huge nope for me. I should not have to wait 4 business days for MY money.

The platform is awesome and transfers money at a very practical and intuitive pace. However I’ve had a few questions and customer service is very elusive or just doesn’t respond at all. However my account was hacked (it had to ge internal thru Qapital) and they completely reimbursed the $2000 theft and reimbursed which I truly appreciated.

This app is a godsend. I have tried to find something that helps me save and this app does it. It is extremely easy and I love the daily updates letting me know I have reached levels of my goal. It is a safe app and works with Wells Fargo bank. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to save for a trip, college, a car or just for fun.

Never saved more money in my life. It’s good for me because it’s inconvenient to go into the app and wait for money to transfer, therefore stopping me from unnecessary purchases.

I have been using this app since 2017-18 without any issues. Set rules and forget about it for different goals in your life. It works much better for me than having no clear organization in savings.

I have had this app for about a year and I love it so much, I have always struggled to put money aside the adhd had me spending more money if I made more money so no matter what I was living paycheck to paycheck. I love that I can set different savings goals and I can make separate savings categories. Each pay check my money is divided into these categories without me having to do a thing! Then there are rules you can add like rounding up to the next dollar when you swipe your debit card or giving yourself $5 for working out. The best part is it won’t take the money from your bank account if it notices you are low and for someone with erratic spending habits this was very important in the beginning, but now this app has allowed me to actually build that cushion and I have never felt so financially free! The reason I didn’t give a full 5 stars is because transfers to their debit card (optional) still takes 2 days and I thought the whole point of that card was so that you had immediate access to your savings if you needed. That is majorly inconvenient because might as well just transfer it back to your bank account, however this has yet to cause me any actual trouble but I do think it’s important to note. All in all I love the app and I have recommended it to all of my friends. Imagine: Christmas rolls around and you have actually been saving all year and so there is no stress with your gift budget. Or it’s time for your next trip and you don’t have to figure out how much money you can spend because you made a category for that and you know exactly how much you can afford. Or your car needs work and you don’t know how to swing that this month but it’s ok because you’ve been saving separately for repairs so it’s ok and you don’t need to cancel your vacation because you’ve saved for both. Its savings you can see and curate to your specific needs and even wants. You should look into it and give it a try

This has been the easiest way for me to save money! The way my rules are set up, I don’t even notice when the money is being put in my Emergency Fund. I was able to save nearly $3000 in just a few months by barely lifting a finger.

Say goodbye to shopping guilt! The app allows you many ways to save and be smart with your money. It was a bit tricky to link my bank account, but once I did, it was smooth sailing. Highly recommended.

My card expired and I was trying to edit my new address. There is no function for this which is ridiculous. Was told to send something with new address. I sent 3 different pieces of mail with my name and new address yet was told I couldn’t use them because they wouldn’t accept it. Sent a picture of mail from car and life insurance with address. Only can speak with a automated system that isn’t much help at all. Too much of a hassle and you have ppl money making it difficult to access it. Can’t cancel goals bcuz they constantly trying to transfer money from your account. 👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾

I love this app!!! This year I went to Hawaii with my family and New Orleans with my friends all because of Qapital. I set goals for trips and so much more and met every one. This app has taught me how to save and I have shared it with everyone I know because I want them to learn as much as I have.

Update: Qapital has fixed the issues I mentioned previously in an old review, which is great because it shows that they’re working on their app. Overall, this is a great app to use if you’re resting to mindlessly save money without going out of your way. It’s about $6 a month I believe to use the app to its full potential which is not bad. Less than I spend on a takeout meal for myself at the cheapest spot. I’d encourage anyone to make use of this app at the start of their saving journey or any other point. This app is perfect except for 2 things: 1. It doesn’t always transfer the money out of my linked account. 2. It doesn’t always accurately recognize the amount of money in my account and there’s no way to correct it so that way my transfer will trigger Both of these are pretty self explanatory, but I have my paycheck divvy set up so my savings should come directly out of my account when I get paid and go here. Firstly, the money transfers a few days after I get paid. This is annoying but doable (but it would be great if I could see and plug in the dates I get paid so that way I can see Qapital knows what day it is and can see when it’s going to take money out and adjust as needed). What’s a more significant problem is when it incorrectly registers less money in my account and then notifies me that Qapital won’t be making the transfer because I have insufficient funds. We need a way to correct that issue so the money still transfers because otherwise I have to transfer money over myself. All in all, this app is wonderfully designed and I love it!

I was able to save $4000 for Christmas by setting a few easy rules and never missed the money because it came out a little at a time. I even started an account got my granddaughter so she will have a nice little chunk when she turns 18 for a car or whatever she may need just by saving a little each week

Love it! I was terrible with money and always spending my “savings”. With this app not only do I have a substantial savings, since you can personalize any amount of a “set and forget” rule but you can also get a debit card that you can immediately transfer to and use in case of an emergency! I 100% recommend this app even if you’re already great with money!

Set and go. I almost forget that I have this account. I just set it up for what I want taken out and go about my way. Even when I need to transfer funds back to my account it’s done within 48-72hrs.

This app is amazing. I never use cash so saving my change just wasn’t happening. The way the round up rule works and takes the money from my account I never even notice. Keeps taking my money every month and won’t let me login saying there is a user with my phone number which is me !!!! But for some reason can’t get in my account while they just take money from my account

I round-up, I also have a rule to set aside 3% of every deposit over $1k and I use the “52 week rule.” Combined it covers all of my property taxes and federal taxes without stressing it. Been using it for a few years now… Recommended.

This app makes it easy to save without even thinking. We started this account 3 years ago as away to save for a long vacation. We’ve gone to OBX and Pigeon Forge TN with using just the money saved in this account. This ideal for anyone who wants to save but doesn’t want know how to start. Only downfall is that occasionally it will pause and you have to reconnect your bank.

As much as I love this app I can’t stand their notifications. They send me a daily notification telling me to promote their app. And there is no option to turn that notification off unless I turn off all notifications which means I won’t get notifications on important things.
